Notebooks

I LOVE notebooks. I have lots of notebooks and most of them I fill up pretty easily. But for my birthday I got a notebook that looks like it is from like the 1800s, or something like that. I think it's AWESOME! It has already yellowed pages and everything to make it seem old, which I like. But I don't know what to fill it with. I like to draw and write, but I have plenty of notebooks for those things. I am most defiantly not going to use it for school, in case you had that in mind. So I was just wondering... What do you fill your notebooks with? Or do you have any ideas of what I could put in my new one... It has been bothering me for the longest time, just letting a cool notebook sit there, so please share.

I fill my notebooks with drawings, stories, and I have a little notebook filled with information I might forget, like computer passwords. I have kept a journal, but I'm not very good at keeping it updated. I have a notebook just for lists and ideas too. So that's pretty much how I fill my notebooks. What do you fill your notebooks with?

If you've read Kingdom Keepers, do you remember the pictures they showed of Jez's dream journal thing? There's my notebooks. Not dreams, specifically, but small doodles and thoughts all mashed in every spare space I can find! I have a stash of five notebooks upstairs. I started with twelve. I draw mini comics about stories I write, but they are never revealed. To anyone. I keep all my notebooks hidden, thanks to my dear social anxiety. I'm good at animals but stink at humans, so when I draw I try to be alone (little off-topic there). I smash everything I can into one page, soon there's barely any empty space.

As for that one notebook, I'm stumped. I have one little water-proof notepad, I put it in the sink and everything just to make it fun, but I also try not to waste the pages on regular stuff. I'd say if you've got the sudden inspiration burst and feel like your going to draw or write something EXTRA good, then use that notebook for the really special stuff, I guess. Does that make sense?

I have only been able to read the first Kingdom Keepers book, although I'd love to read the rest. I never show anyone what I'm drawing when I'm drawing it either. Even after, it takes time for me to figure out if I want to show it to someone.

And Yes it does make sense. It's just that I've had that notebook for just under a year, so I'm getting frustrated that I'm not creative enough to think of something for such a long time.

Typically I used to use notebooks as my diaries, and write things about my day. Now I don't keep any notebooks, but I do have a sketchbook which I obviously use for sketching (mainly Disney characters).

That's typically what I draw too. ;)

I'm sure everything you're thinking of is creative! I have one notebook in particular, it's a hardback blue notebook, where I draw stuff I post online. Just for that. Making it in a special book makes me feel like I need to draw it extra-good. Stuff I've posted here and on Pottermore are there.

I have stopped showing it because of a mishap a while ago, when I drew this little cartoon/anime thing of my Collins character Serefima. I showed it to a friend and she just gave this look like I showed her scribbles and she's like, "What kind of name is Serefima?" And she said it all snotty and since then I've just been unhappy with showing others my drawings because I'm afraid they'll judge me badly...

Sorry, sorta ranted there...

I don't use notebooks too much, but I do use a sketchbook a lot. I draw all the time, so I would rather use a sketchbook. Whenever I do use notebooks, though, I design the covers. The picture I have isn't mine, but one that I helped one of the girls I babysit make. Like it was a plain, black notebook we bought at Walmart, and we just revamped it. I love designing notebooks like that, because no one has anything like it. It is cute and fun to do, too!

I have two right now:

-One is a random Disney fairies notebook I bought, and I use it for only sketches of Disney scenes. The only sketches it has so far are from Steamboat Willie and a picture of Lilo kissing Stitch on the cheek and Stitch looking grossed out.

-The other one is really pretty-its turquoise leather and it buckles in the front. I only use it to write about really important events that mean a lot to me. I've had it for half a year and it's probably only three pages full...

I'm SO picky about what I put in notebooks! That being said, I have about twenty half full notebooks that I throw the random stuff in. I use those two for the things that really stick out in my mind.

I love the cover of that notebook grandfloluver!

That's the same with me, I have so many notebooks that I don't know what to do with them. I just got a whole composition notebook full of graph paper today. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet...

That's alright. I don't really show mine because people are used to how I draw, so they aren't as impressed as when I first started. I guess they're just not as interested anymore the way I am.

Sorry, 3 posts in a row.

I was just thinking, this thread seems to talk a lot about drawings, so anyone, if you want to show a drawing or 2 of yours. Just for fun. No one has to if they feel self conscious. Or tell about what you've been drawing, anything like that. I like seeing/hearing about other people's work.

I just drew a picture of Lilo and Stitch dancing like Elvis like last week. Stitch looks a little like he's on drugs, but I can't seem to fix it without messing up his arm. Also I have been drawing Pocahontas. And I've been working on my anime as well.

Anyone else?

I always get frustrated drawing Disney things, I can never get them right. Normally I just draw My little ponies, because I can do that well. There is a picture of Snow White I drew lately that I'm proud of, holding her apple. I also got a disney create so I don't have to waste more paper than I already do. I also like to draw anime.

I like drawing Disney characters, even though I usually fail. I'll try and find some drawings to post, I have currently put my Ohio State notebook with my other five, so I need to go through them and figure out which I was using to draw characters...

I write stories, novels, daily events, prayers, dreams, goals, and the names of my family and friends in my notebooks and sometimes I doodle.

Most of them have drawings. I wrote my play (But later I typed and edited it) and movie in a notebook too.

You wrote a play! Cool!

Lately I have been drawing people with "inspirational" quotes around them. (I want to do one with song lyrics behind them, but have no idea what to draw or what song to do.)

I also wrote a story in half of a composition notebook...I have yet to (and probably won't) finish it sooooo, yeah

Yeah :) Your writing sounds cool too. Good luck finishing it hopefully!
