I have passed ROFR and I am now waiting for my closing docs. I would imagine there are items in there that I will need to get notarized, but I can't find any mention of it in any of my e-mail correspondence. Can someone confirm if I need notarization on my closing documents? Thanks!

Melissa

I don't know about the closing but on the sales document we did (they have a notary on site at WDW DVC). If you need one, its not a big deal, all banks/credit unions have at least one notary on staff and if your a bank/credit union member they'll notarize for free. Other places include public/governmental offices and some libraries.

We just did an add-on and had to have only 1 page notarized, I believe the Mortgage Deed page itself was the one that required this. As stated before, its easy to do and often free from your bank/credit union.

We closed on a resale in May. As the buyer, there was not a notary requirement. Seller had to notarize. We purchased through TSS.

Okay, I'm going through TTS as well. I hope there isn't a notary requirement. That will be one less thing to worry about!

On our prior purchases of resales there was no notary requirements for any of the documents -- we did not finance and I suspect there may be for a finance agreement. As to purchasing from Disney it was the same -- notary needed only for finance documents.

I bought through GMAC and didn't need anything notarized. They just wanted their money. (I paid it all at once; no financing.)

The only time you will need a notary is if you financed your purchase and there are MTG docs to sign. If you did not finance then you will not need anything notarized.
