not_joanna_eggs' PJ - 1/24/2010 WP/CG: TR: MK/Epcot Photo shoot link posted

I just wanted to let you know that you are driving me crazy. The first thing I do is check to see if you have updated anything. My DH thinks I am insane, he doesn't understand. Why can't you have no life like me and finish your entire TR in one day?????? Then I wouldn't have to check here 20 times a day hoping for more pictures!

I've been lurking because I'm planning my wedding at wp/napa room in august and I can't wait to see the wedding day photos!!!

Love the trip report so far, too!

Great update! I'm totally loving your TR! Isn't Patricia wondreful!? I think she is super nice! Can't wait to hear more about the big day and see you all put together! :goodvibes

Thanks! Patricia was great! She didn't get scared off by our crazy family. I'm so glad I booked her, because she even was able to make me not break out in hives. I did from the trial, and she switched up and I was hive free on the actual day.

I still haven't gotten my pro pictures, so I'm waiting to see more too! :rotfl:

Hi there, I am a lurker and have finally caught up on your PJ/TR, while I read your TR I am planning my wedding in my head..you guys are having a blast....I can't wait to read more...

Thanks for reading! My family is an "experience" to say the least. We had a great time at the wedding, so I'm glad you're enjoying the re-hash!

Your TP is making me laugh out loud, keep up the great posts!

Oh what a tease! I thought I'd get to see pictures of you in your dress!! Keep it coming!!

Looking forward to more...looking forward to seeing dress:bride: and wedding pics:goodvibes

Thanks for reading - I promise to post as soon as I get my pictures!

Lol you crack me up!
That sucks about the manicure at the Grand. I went to Saratoga and I got a bottom coat top coat pea coat rain coat and everything in between lol. It's still holding up pretty well, though it chips easily since it's so thick with all those coats!

I don't know how you put up with your family! Then again I unloaded everything onto other people. My MOH was even texting Jeff on my phone (and she had no idea how to use my droid lol) instead of me giving him directions the morning of the wedding.

The manicure at the Grand was a disappointment... The CMs and the overall experience were great... but I wish we would have done a massage or something - would have been just as much and I wouldn't have been as surprised when the effects disappeared after 3 days...
But I'm going to have to go to Saratoga for a mani now, just for a pea coat :rotfl::rotfl:

My family is an "experience" for sure, but I'm one of them... so I just kind of let the chaos unfold around me, knowing that they wouldn't let it effect me. I kind of just laughed along - Strange as it seems, it kept things feeling normal for me.

* * *

So I've been told that we should get our pro pictures next week (fingers crossed it's early next week) so I should be able to re-start the trippie soon.

But in the mean-time, I got some more pictures from my aunt, so I went back and revised Day 3- Part 3 with more pictures if anyone's interested.

lol I love that pic of you with the coke and in rollers. What time was that at? I love drinking coke in the morning

instead of centerpieces we had glowing beer and wine glasses. They were fun, and relatively cheap - we even still have some that we took home!

DSC00470.jpg

This picture is fuzzy, but you can see how the glowing took over and made it fun...

Our view
DSC00764JPG.jpg

They didn't get pictures of the food either (amateurs) but we had mini creme brulee tarts, linzor diamonds, cream horns and mini crepes w/ nutella to go with the french theme.

So then the fireworks started, and cousin Paul's step-brother and his girlfriend start doing an interpretive dance to the music. It was quite strange.

Everyone commented on how great Illuninations was and how nice the party was.

WOO HOO! I was waiting to see some dp pics..... I am glad everyone enjoyed the blankets, the glow cups-cool idea and the show! This is our DP venue too but we have never watched illuminations from there...:goodvibes

The view of Illuminations is Okay... Not the best, but still okay... The globe is hidden from view by the trees...

DSC00765JPG.jpg

Sorry - no one thought to take pictures of the show, they were all mesmerized by it.

You can see the fireworks and hear the music and all, but there are long parts where you don't really know what's going on because the trees block the globe. You see that it's there and that there's stuff moving on it, but you can't really make out the pictures.

We were offered Italy West which has a better view, but really wanted to be "in France." It was fine, and most of our guests had never seen IllumiNations, or at least not in the last decade, so they didn't know any different. But it might be a disappointment if you had a bunch of vets with you.

For us, it worked great!

I'm kind of addicted! It was around 11:30, and that was my 2nd one!

Oh I can't wait to see more! I am so jealous of your room at BLT! Amazing!

I can't wait to see more either- I'm impatiently waiting for my pictures- It's driving me nutty!

The Grand Villa was great. I'm so spoiled now!

So far so good!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for reading!

Okay, well I still don't have my pro pictures, but I do have some that other people took, so hopefully I get the pro ones soon, allegedly they were supposed to come last week...

So it's now 2:30, and none of us are ready... And I just felt the world spinning out of control.

Kristy was still working on my mom's hair.
Can you sense the frustration on her face?
P1000262.jpg

My mom came up with this conspiracy theory that I had paid them extra to keep her out of the way. :rotfl:

If I had thought of it... I might have :cutie: But seriously, my mom doesn't have that much hair, so I have no clue what the problem was. And honestly her hair was just okay.

So my sister and I are finally cleared to get ready...

But of course, we stop for a photo-op first.
P1000261.jpg

(if you look in the background of this picture, you can see both Patricia and Kristy working on my mom's hair - I'm not sure what the problem was. Poor mom!)

Randy starts urging Monica and I to get ready - we're still in our sweats - so he can take some pictures before heading out and Patricia and Kristy are packing up. It was overwhelming I almost screamed.

Finally, they were done with my mom's hair...

Freedom!
P1000264.jpg

So she starts getting ready, and my sister ran upstairs go get something, so I find myself alone and unable to get ready because of the evil contraption they claim is a bra, but is really more of a torture device... This caused me to freak out - and then my dad came in and was asking me all these questions about how he was going to get from the Poly to the WP, and apparently I wasn't answering the questions correctly, because he kept asking it. I knew the answer didn't matter, and it would be taken care of, but he was driving me nuts, and then he left...so again I was alone.

Seriously? AHHHH. Finally, my sister returned and she helped me hook my evil bra, and zip my dress. I returned the favor and then she turned to help my mom, and I went outside to put my jewelery on.

My dad was still there, so he helped me put on my necklace, and then he left.

P1000265.jpg

Monica, finally was able to get herself ready and finally got her shoes...

P1000267.jpg

So my Dad and Bob leave, Patricia and Kristy leave, and Randy snaps a few more pictures then he leaves. At this point it's 3:05 and we're not ready yet - but we're finally alone.

So we quickly finish getting ready and fortunately Monica notices that the rings are sitting on the table, because Randy had taken them out for pictures. That would have just been fantastic. Go Monica!! So we threw them in my purse - crisis adverted.

So we grab our flowers...
P1000263.jpg

and head out the door down to the lobby to meet the car.

Now, when we picked the car... Disney labeled it as "great for weddings" so I never really gave a 2nd thought to it. Well we get down there, and it's a 2 door! Yeek! That was special, because my mom just looked at me with these daggers like "I will kill you" The driver even said to me "oh, I was under the impression it would just be you" Um... no.... Well, we finally all pile into the car and we were on our way to the Poly.

Meanwhile, at the Poly...

The boys finished their video games, and started to head to the lobby, and Greg started to freak out. I had given him the choice of a long tie or a bow tie. He chose long tie, but just to be safe, I had packed both. Well, he didn't think the long tie looked right with the shirt, so asked Chris if it was okay to change. Chris was like "whatever" well Greg also texted Monica to make sure that it was okay. We both were like "whatever" so he apparently changed his mind like 3 more times and was driving Chris crazy. :rotfl:

I think you have to know Greg, to truly understand, but it was just hilarious.

So the boys went to the lobby of the Poly to get their flowers and meet Randy...

They were trying to be serious... Didn't work too well...

DSC00811JPG.jpg

I was very impressed that they were able to get themselves put together on their own...

DSC00812JPG.jpg

Then Chris was ushered out to the beach to wait for us...
DSC00813JPG.jpg

(it was at this time that Greg changed his tie yet again :rotfl:)

We arrived at the Poly... and I seriously hope Randy got some more graceful looking pictures of me exiting the car....

P1000268.jpg

I'm not really sure what happened, but somehow my mom had some "issues" getting out of the car, hence this really great expression.
P1000270.jpg

P1000271.jpg

We were ushered to the area right by the pool, it was SOOO hot. It was in the 80's and we were rushing and stressed and in the sun and it was just bad, but this picture is just awesome.

My dad and I just look like we're going to blast off into outer space...

DSC00825JPG.jpg

So we get to the holding area, and we met Maxine there. She had a golf cart and offered to take my mom to the WP in the golf cart so she didn't have to go back in the car. My mom was quite pleased.

We were sort of just standing there trying to figure out what to do next, and dying in the heat. It was the only warm day of the entire trip - of course.

This picture is just classic
P1000272.jpg

Not sure what my sister is looking at, but this is a great picture of her hair...

DSC00821JPG.jpg

So finally Randy came back to me and had me walk up to Chris for the big reveal...

pictures-YEAH! loving the pictures Joanna!!!:goodvibes your bouquets look beautiful! you do look beautiful even in the heat!:bride:

I love your commentary, your poor mom! I can't imagine what was giving them such a problem....

You look beautiful in your dress and I love your bouquet. Looking forward to hearing more!

you looked great and your flowers were so nice!

Thanks :goodvibes I did a side-by-side comparison of my bouquet and the inspiration pic... and honestly, I like mine better (not that I'm biased) :cutie: There were more calla lilies in mine. It also was very "durable" I dropped it a few times and it held up!

pictures-YEAH! loving the pictures Joanna!!!:goodvibes your bouquets look beautiful! you do look beautiful even in the heat!:bride:

Thanks Tammy. I'm still waiting for my pro pictures back. I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm sooooooooo antsy :rotfl: At least some of my guests got good pictures, or I'd be going insane!

Disney Floral did a fantastic job with our floral for the day of... the refresh is a different (hilarious) story - but that's for a different day provided I can ever get past the wedding day :rotfl:

Thank you. My mom was so funny. I think she still believes I paid them off to keep her out of my way :lmao: I have no idea what the issue was - I was too absorbed in my own hair issue :rolleyes1

While Randy was making sure Chris was in the right place for the reveal, and we were in our hiding place. Maxine and Bob quickly ran away from us on her golf cart. Okay... well they were headed to the WP to greet the guests that were coming shortly.

Fortunately for me, Bob took the opportunity of being the 1st person at the WP to take some photos of the setup.

You can see, there were a few showers earlier in the day. There would be some showers later too - but it was perfectly sunny while we were taking pictures!

Then some of the guests started to arrive... 8 at a time...

000_0246.jpg

000_0247.jpg

Okay.... so this brings me to my #1 shoulda woulda coulda which is really 2 in one. So we were kind of talked into using 1 limo to shuttle our guests from their hotels to the WP and then to the CG for the reception. My guests loved being picked up by a limo, but this meant that some of my guests got to the WP as early as 3:45 for our 5:00 Ceremony. Which was kind of boring for them.

On top of that - no one told me that taking pictures at the Poly beach meant that my guests at the WP could see me. I mean I guess if I would have thought about it I could have figured it out, but I didn't. So basically my bored guests watched us take pictures for an hour and a half.

That kind of sucked. It just ruined some of the "magic" Not the end of the world - but none the less - kind of sucked.

So... If I had to do it over again... I would have probably sprung for a bus for my guests so they didn't have to wait. I also would have picked a different hotel for our photos - but I'll get into more of that when I get my pictures back and can explain more.
