Not wearing a costume

I have ressies for Princess Storybook breakfast in Epcot. My DD4 says she doesn't want to bring a costume this trip but I'm afraid we'll get to the restaurant and she'll see everyone else dressed up. Do most girls wear princess dresses?

At the two princess meals we went to in the Spring (one of which was at Akershus), I would say that over 75% of the girls in the ~3-9 age range wore princess dresses.

This is just one data point, of course.

Id take the dress just in case. If she decides to wear it then you'll have it with you. If not then stash it in the lockers.......better to have it with than have to go back and get.....

We've never done this, but we've been in Norway and have seen them lined up to get in. I don't think I saw 1 girl without a princess dress on. I agree with the PP about a locker.

Lots of girls were wearing them at Akershus when we were there. I would guess about 60%. We did BBB in the a.m. and Akershus for dinner. I didn't think my DD6 would want to wear her's after BBB (it was very hot and she also always complains about the dresses being so scratchy), but she kept it on all day, no complaints.

I would definitely bring it if you could, even if she just slips it on for the photo package picture.

I agree with the other posts to bring the dress with you. We usually do this anyway as it's somewhat uncomfortable to walk around for an extended period of time in dress-up gear. I've just packed a white shirt and a pair of shorts for dd's outfit that day and bagged the dress/tiara.

Also, (as you can see from Gatorlady's signature) dressing up makes for a super cute photo

If you don't want to carry the dress, maybe a princess crown in your bag would do the trick.

As soon as you walk in you get a free 8 x 10 pic of daughter with Belle.

I went Saturday. My daughter wore a Jasmine costume I bought at the Disney store 75% off after Halloween. She was glad she had it and was excited when Jasmine came to our table. I would say 1/2 the girls had a costume while we were there. They were even selling them right outside for $60!!! (not including tiara and accessories!!).

After breakfast, we went to the restroom and changed her into regular clothes to walk the park. The costume was so light, I did not mind carrying it around after. I thought worst case scenerio, I would throw it away after (only paid about 14 dollars for it), but carrying it was really no big deal (and I hate carrying things!)

I forgot to add...

One thing you should get before you go is an autograph book. ALL the kids have them and my DD4 noticed. She was upset she didnt have one, so I spent $12 for one and another $4 for pen. The pages ran out quickly, so I paid another $10 for another book (differnt kind..first one was princess and the second was Mickey). Im sure I could have gotten them cheaper before I went.

we brought 2 of dd's fancy princess nightgowns. she was very comfy and still fancy. the costumes are too scratchy & she has no interest in going through the itchiness
