Where I work we have almost an entire level of the parking garage for handicapped and medical (medical is a special tag from the employer but not a state issued tag). Anyways---they have several van accesible spots but sometimes these are the only ones open so you have to park there. And sometimes people park there because they are the closest to the building (this is the top floor and open to rain, etc.) The other spots on this level are for "visitors" and "press". Anyways last week they took the first four van accessible spots and changed the signs to "WHEELCHAIR USE ONLY". Now, I don't use a wheelchair in daily life, but am thinking HOORAY----for those who do. They no longer have to worry about arriving to work and having to squeeze into a smaller space, etc.
