Not very good at planning :(

Hi everyone! I am planning hat I hope to
be our best Disney trip yet. My son is 5 it is just the two of us he loves the fun value resorts, wanted to do dinning but we can't since we have park tickets already. If anyone can advise on how to plan without losing the Disney magic but saving $ on the hotel so we don have to avoid eating on property please advise! I am a fla resident and work for the state.

I wish we could do dinning!!!! Our trip is for february!

get a free dining package. I think you have to get either a 1 or 2 day ticket with it. Just use the tickets you have, and save the tickets that come with your package for another trip. Go through the disney website and put in your dates and see how much a FD pkg would be... that way you can make sure that this would still save you money and be a good deal for you. I took my DS 16 and we used the QSDP in August, and it was a great deal, and we paid for it. I really loved not having to worry about having money for meals, and DS could get snacks w/o me counting pennies. It really, really made for a much better and more relaxed trip. We had PLENTY of food with this plan, and I highly recommend it.

I would try what the previosu poster said. The free dining is a really good deal most often. I went with my triplet daughters in Oct/Nov and not having to crunch numbers while ordering food was the best and we had plenty of food... actually too much food. I don't think I'll be doing Disney again is I don't have the meals included. One less headache during vacation.

Do the numbers... Free dining will save you (for 1A, 1C) about $50 assuming QSD, which is what comes with FD at the values.

But look out for 20% off room only which could be higher than $50, depending on the time you go.

If you add dining to a room only discount, you must make it a package and need to add 1 day base ticket. This might be the cheapest route, since you have tickets already. FD offers require 2 day base ticket.
