Not used to June crowds - how early do I need to get in position for these?

We go to WDW a lot but never in the summer (well once a long time ago). How early do I need to stake out a spot for Celebrate the Magic & Wishes to be able to see CtM and also how early do I need to stake out a spot for the new Star Wars Fireworks (the one that starts after June 17th) in June?

Thanks!

Did you have a hard time finding a spot 15 minutes ahead of time? We go a lot in June and our experience is that unless you want to try to push your way in, you need to be there a solid 45 minutes ahead of time for Wishes. Don't know about Star Wars. We were there in February and they had the fireworks set to Star Wars music. We got there maybe 30 minutes ahead of time and the spot we were at was e-m-p-t-y until maybe 10 minutes before the show. We were across from the 50's diner (forget the name) right at the fence where the water is (the backside of the boat). Easy as cake. I suspect it'll be more crowded now, but not as bad as Wishes

If you're willing to move past crowds of people on curbs to get to the open spaces in the streets, you can find great spots 15 minutes before, even during peak crowds. Recently both MK and HS have been better about keeping walking paths taped off so you can move past the mobs and fill in less crowded areas closer to the center.
