O.K. my kids love minigolf but my little girl was scared to death of the Pirate minigolf last time we went. I know Disney has two minigolf courses but are they on park properties so that I would have to be entering a park or water park just to play? Anyone got a suggestion for a tame but good minigolf? I kind of remember reading about an animal type one the last time we were in Orlando but i'm not sure. I really don't want to drive to far to get to one either. Thanks for your help!

The on-site mini-golf are not located in a park or water park (although Winter Summerland is adjacent to Blizzard Beach). Both mini-golf places, Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens are nice courses, and not "scary" I wouldn't say.

Check out these links:

Fantasia Gardens
Winter Summerland

For none-scary ;) mini-golf offsite, I might suggest, Bonanza mini golf, it has an out west old time mining decor. It is located on 192 and is almost half the price of WDW mini-golf. Also River Adventure is located on 192. Unless I am confusing it with another one, it has a large water wheel outfront. This will also be less expensive than WDW.

Steer clear of the Congo River golf, as they have live alligators to feed which may be scary to your child.

I don't think you even have to pay to park to get to Disney's mini golf.

We arrived in the afternoon to WDW our last trip. After unpacking it was close to 3pm so we decided to grab something to eat and take the boys mini golfing at Winter Summerland. They had a ball. It is really two adorable little courses and a great way to kill some time and relax without spending too much money. They can't wait to go back next year and try the other course and the first think they ask is if they can go golfing again.

I think it was only $7 a person and it wasn't crowded at all.

Thanks guys!!! I checked out the winter summerland link through wdwig and it looks like exactly what we want! I showed the kids and they can't wait! It really fits in with our pre-christmas theme for this trip, we are doing mvmcp and can't wait to see the parks all decked out for christmas! Thanks again!:wave2:
