Ok so you open up a trade screen right? Then you put something up to offer or trade. Ok thats fine but when in a trade screen the person says i already have that that is what is very annoying. SO what if you already have it. They had 4 bird hats , they showed me and then when i offered him a predictometer he said well I already have that! I hate it when people do it. SO what if you already have it. Im not saying yu have to do ther trade if it gets annoying but saaying they already have it,, uh!! I have a fulll room of ice is what i told him when he said he already had it. It just gets ery annoying and im not specificly yellin at anyone.

Oh, I'll have to agree with you there. Like, how else did the guy get four bird hats without trading for them? It does get very annoying when you're trying to offer for something someone else is trading and all they keep saying is "I have that". I mean, if you're trading it, go ahead and trade it!

Rant over :)

Going to have to play devil's advocate here disagree with you guys. Lots of people go to the parks with their family and come home with several sets of quest simply because their family members all cash in quests for them. Also, someone telling you "they already have that" is probably a polite or alternative way of saying they aren't interested in what you're offering, it isn't a fair trade, or that they already have enough multiples to supply their trading needs for the time being. Also multiples of some things (ie ice) can be useful, you can build stuff, multiple predictometers? someone's just going to have to trade that off again (equals more work for them to do your trade).

What's frustrating to me in a trade is when someone expects me to simply trade them something they really want and be satisfied receiving something in return that I have no interest in (or in most cases, is simply not a fair offer). After trying to explain myself to SO many different people who just don't understand, I've realized that sometimes saying "I already have that" is the only way to get out of the trade with the least amount of hassle.

Additionally, nobody should ever feel they have to justify why they do not want to trade or should ever be pressured into trades that aren't right for them. Trading is complicated enough without that.

very well said Jules.

Jules I totally agree with you.

I have to admit - I want to hear what it is you want and what you are offering before I accept that trade box. I honestly do not want to waste my time seeing Skeleton at the Helm and Pink Monster Teleporters.

And Ragtime - Ice was a perk we received in February. If you played Pirates or Fireworks, you would get credits and ice. This lead to an Ice Addiction for me - which I have recovered from. <<Ice Ice Bay Be>>> Sorry had to say it. :lmao: :lmao:

Yes just a piece of ice - size of about I think four baseball bases. Great for people who like to build.

I agree with you in a way, and agree with them in a way.. I have like (don't laugh) six crowns and two pairs of princess shoes princess: , and when I say I'm trading them, all the girls ask to trade, not even asking!! :sad2: :sad2: They put their things on there and then I have to break to them that it doesn't equal the cost of a crown or a pair of shoes.. Just because someone has a lot of things doesn't mean they have to trade for something they are not interested in, unless they are nice which I do do sometimes..

just a little info and my opinion... :goodvibes

This is why I just tell people I don't trade. My trading takes place on Dis.

I gift a lot to my friends on vmk and Dis. Would rather make a friend happy than do a trade.

I live close enough to Disneyland that I am there almost every week. Friends that don't play vmk will let me use their AP for cards. So I always have something to give away or trade.

"I already have that.."
"I don't want that.."
"Is that all?.."
"Magic plz.."

Any of these can make a trade go south for me, but to hear any of these while giving prizes?!?! Say any of the above to have a prize change from whatever to a poster! :listen:

You are so kind to change it to a poster, I would change it to a rare Pirate Table, Chest or Skeleton. LOL!!!

Wow, I never encountered that when I was giving my prizes. I just get
the other usual annoyances like "Plz be my friend" over and over and over
again. ;)

And I agree with Jules that I have said "I already have that" when I
wasn't interested in their items. Usually, I announce in the room that
I won't trade unless they tell me what they're trading first.

Why waste each other's time with trades that won't satisfy both parties?

Wow! Guess I'm "rude" and "annoying" then... On the rare occasion that I do actually accept a trade request from someone, they load the window with stuff I already have, so what am I supposed to say? :confused3 My standard response is always, "I already have that, but thanks anyways" :confused3 And I'll continue to use that line, so don't send me a trade request if my answer is going to annoy you... :teeth:

What would you like them to say when they already have it?

Sorry. I guess I'm just stupid and annoying.

I say that too in a trade. And mostly it's not because I traded for it. Most of the time it's because I bought several of the item or won it in a game. And there are lots of times when they are offering items that were just for sale recently. Sorry but I already have 17 red Heart Chairs or 10 Musketeer Hats. I don't need anymore.

I also tell people when they put up cheap stuff that it's not worth anything.

And many times, people trading with me will take the item(s) out and put up other stuff. If it's not any better, then I say sorry, no and terminate the trade.

When getting a prize, I would never say that I already had that. That is rude. But trading is different. I say that to be polite. It sounds a bit nicer than, "No way!" :)

I also will use this line especially to the 10th or more person who offers me blue sneakers, tank tops and 50th t-shirts to me in return for my magic, crown or stuff that is buyable in the stores. If these people expect to unload their stuff on to me in return for items that I have worked hard for and spent my credits or traded for they can't complain. Though often I will be nice and if I have in my inventory I will offer something narnia or other items from free games that I have won. Frankly I feel saying I already have that leaves the window open for seeing if there is something else someone is willing to offer rather than saying something like what else do you have.

Earlier tonight though was a kicker I had someone who of course put up a pair of blue sneakers and I forget the other item but something very common and of course I have a ton of from other trades from being nice. I started by offering a narnia lamp and the person was like I have those. Of course my response was well I have what you are offering also. Trade was ended promptly. lol oh well
