A little over a year ago I was beginning to plan dh & my 25th vow renewal in wdw. then last Oct he lost his job after 23 yrs. I kept the faith that he would find a new one & the vow renewal in WDW would go on. But, alas, yesterday was our 25th anniversary and still he has not job. We will eventually do this. I keep teasing we will wait until the kids can foot the bill. lol only about 10 more years.

So ladies, enjoy!!! enough for both of us.


ps anyone who believes in the power of prayer. I'd sure appreciate my husband being gainfully employed again. Thanks

I gave up my 10yr VR this year, but not for the same reasons as you...mine was because I wanted to give my DD the BEST vacation EVER to wdw & i felt the money was better spent on her...so maybe next time!

Mine last month was spent at Wendy's (we dined in instead of the usual drive-thru). I had a baked potato, a bowl of chili, and an order of fries. Yep, I splurged since it was my wedding anniversary (I normally only have a potato and chili). And to tell you the truth, it was lovely. Plus, earlier that day, we hit our favorite park and we got to watch a couple having their wedding photos taken outdoors. I wanted so badly to walk up to the bride and tell her that her wedding day was a very lucky one since my husband and I were celebrating our 23rd anniversary, but I was too shy so I just watched from afar.

This, too, shall pass. There will be many other opportunities for a Disney vow renewal. Everyone focuses on numbers divisible by 5 or 10 as being the BIG anniversaries. But a 26th or 27th or 28th anniversary vow renewal would be just as meaningful and romantic! Other numbers should have equal appreciation! LOL

Your husband will find work. To be employed so long with one company demonstrates a lot of desirable character traits and while it may seem like a long road, he will find something sooner or later.

Happy 25th Anniversary!! Believe me, I know what you are going through. My husband lost his job in June 2006 and has yet to find a job. He is currently working part time in the evening after I get home from work. Stay positive.
