"Not the rug!"

So Bryan fed the cats last night. After eating, Tycho walks out of the kitchen, which is linoleum. Walks down the hallway, which is laminated wood tile. Starts gagging. Runs back down the laminated wood tile hallway, across the laminated wood tile den floor and proceeds to puke all over....the beige rug, the ONE rug in the entire house. Why???
