I tried switching to BCV for 1/30 to 2/4 unfortunately the only night I can’t get is the 3. Now I’m not sure what is my best option. Should I try to waitlist a night in the middle. If it wouldn’t come through then I’d be stuck. Thanks for the all figuring all this out

I would take what you can get at BCV and book somewhere else for the last night. Then put in a waitlist request and stalk the website for the 3rd. You may find that it comes available at some point in the next few days, at least for some period of time, as people may be walking reservations. If you waitlist the whole thing it's unlikely to ever come through considering the popularity of BCV. I like to take what I can get and not fear split stays. If you have points to spare, I'd book something else for the 3rd and 4th assuming you never get the 3rd at BCV and wouldn't want to make multiple switches. But also book the 4th at BCV planning to cancel it if the 3rd never comes through.

I'll assume you do not have enough points to hold your existing reservation while you book BCV and waitlist the missing night(s). I'll also assume you want 6 nights, with a check in on 1/30 and check out on 2/5, and do not want to borrow.

If it were me and I really wanted BCV, I'd modify the existing home resort reservation to book the first four nights that I can get at BCV right now. Then I'd go back and make a two night reservation at my home resort. So the worst case is I end up with a split stay.

When the window opens for 2/3 and if it's still not available (likely), I'd put in a two night waitlist for the last two nights (2/3 & 2/4) and indicate that I want to replace the 2 night reservation at my home resort if it comes through.

Your chances of getting a 2 night waitlist are not as good as getting two individual single night waitlists, but then you risk ending up with a hole in the middle and having to move back and forth. Only you can decide how much of a gamble you are willing to take. IMO, unless the first weekend in February ends up to be a race weekend, you have a good chance of having waitlists work.

Good luck!

If by 1/30 to 2/4, you mean 2/4 is your departure date and thus you would need to waitlist only 2/3, then you might reserve 1/30-2/3 and wait list the single night, which has a better chance of filling than a multiple night waitlist. Nevertheless, there is a risk of failure with any waitlist and, if you want to avoid the uncertainty of possibly not having a room that last night at BCV, the option offered by @AuroraBorealis would be the choice.
