Not sure on the transferring..

I have asked this before I think. But I just want to make sure I have it correctly our trip will be in Oct 2014 I need some extra pts when can I transfer from another member and bank the pts so I can book at the 11 month window ?

You could get a transfer today if you wanted. The key is to get points that will be eligible for an October 2014 trip.

In this case, you'd want to get points for the resort you want to stay so you can have the 11 month window. In terms of UY, the can be Dec 2012 points, which you would need to bank into 2014. They could also be Feb, March, April, June, August, Sept, Oct 2013 UY points, which would also need to be banked.

You could even find someone to transfer you Oct 2014 points which would not need banking.

Points retain their original UY and home resort, so that is all that matters. Since your 11 month window won't open until November, you have plenty of time to search for points that meet your needs.

The points won't show up online, though, unless they are the same resort and UY as what you already own so once transferred in, you will have to call MS to confirm.

What's your UY? Do you need 2012, 2013 or 2014 points? You can use current year points, you can bank previous year points, but you cannot borrow next year points. And if you are booking the trip during one use year and the points need to be next year, you need to make sure the transferred points work out.

My use year is Oct sorry thought I mentioned that.. this is all new to me I guess there is alot to learn..LOL

You could transfer 2013 points into your 2013 UY and bank them (unless they are Dec UY points). Or you could transfer 2014 points into your 2014 UY. Just not December 2014 points because you would have to borrow them and you cannot borrow transferred points.

To make it easier, just don't transfer Dec UY points.
