Not sure if this has been mentioned yet - Cape May, new!

we thought the cape may cafe buffet was better than previous visits! didn't really notice any reduction in desserts when we were there in april and we ate there twice easter week. the prime rib was a nice addition and we had no problem putting the clams and mussels in soup bowls. as long as we can remember, the mussels have always been cooked in a garlic broth and they are the best! enjoy and this is an excellent choice for dinner before illuminations. they offer a full bar menu. looking forward to our next disney visit!!

We've never been, but we're going to the clambake as a treat for my wife (A seafood nut). Do they have crab legs? Please tell me they have crab legs...

They do offer crab legs but at an extra cost.

The clam bake sounds wonderful! Can anyone tell me if the clam bake is also available at lunch time? If so, is prime rib on the menu at lunch? One last question, do you sit at tables with other people or can you get a private table for two?

Cape May is not open for lunch (to the best of my recollection). It is open for a character breakfast and for dinner though. You can sit at a table for two, or 4 or more :) It is fun and the food is good ~ give it a try

We ate at the Clambake on May 10th and there was whipped cream at the dessert table. I put loads of it on my DS's jello. Lots of delicious cookies too. The broth for the clams was different but I liked it. The shrimp we had was cold--didn't see any hot.

hehehe, those Cape May rascals :p You ate there on May 10th and we ate there on May 25th ~ and they changed the menu in-between

We had no whipping cream because believe me, I looked for it

(it's one of my favorite things!)

I'm beginning to think Disney puts out what it has stored in the back room that day ;)

Do they still have clam chowder?

I'm happy about the prime rib addition...my fiance is the seafood eater, so prime rib will make me a very happy camper! :)

Karen :smooth:

Yep! They still had that fab clam chowder! YUM! :bounce:

Just wondering if the clams are "little necks" Are there any costal New Englanders who can comment on the Clam Bake? :D
