Good Afternoon,

We are driving to WDW in April from Massachusetts and staying at Cypress Pointe:cool1: . On the way down we overnight in Santee, SC and are thinking about staying in VA on the ride back. Does anyone have a favorite town to stay in? How is Fredericksburg???

Thanks for any input,

Heidi

No advice here -- we fly -- but I am sure someone will be along soon.

you ought to post the same question on the Transportation board, where lots of people make this drive.

Good luck!

My best tip is to stay at Best Western Kings Quarters at Kings Dominion amusment park when the park is closed in the winter. I think that would include your time frame. They have great discounts, a Dennys on site and once you stay they send out a snowbird club card. Mine right now is for an upgraded room for 29.99 a night and valid sun thru thursday in april. Other than that we have stayed in Emporia at exit 11 Best Western and exit 8 Comfort Inn and would recomend them both.

I grew up in Northern Va. Why don't you stay in Arlington or oldtown Alexandria? Near to everything, and you could just hop on the metro and see Washington DC. You are about a 15 minute metro ride from DC. Ask if you have questions!

Fredericksburg can be busy but full of services- I do the 95 corridor constantly- If you can make it to Emporia, VA- it is quieter and past Richmond, which can have a rush hour - but still has plenty of services-
IFFFF you are looking for something OTHER than fast stopover, Fredericksburg can be quite charming...

I can't answer your question, but I might see you at CP - we arrive April 20!!!! :cool1:
