If anyone is looking for airfare through October, Southwest just opened it up today...

I actually took a personal day yesterday just so I could book my airfare for our August trip! :thumbsup2 Cheapest fares go first..

Last year we flew southwest roundtrip from cleveland, and it was $79 one way, $99 the other. The lowest I see today is $142 each way! Why the huge hike in prices? Will these drop?:confused3

I was wondering the same thing. We are going in Sept and I know that we only paid $49 each way from Baltimore at the exact same time last year. Now it is up to $88 plaus the added fees and things. We are going to wait it out a little to see if ir drops. If not we might be driving.

I paid $99 last year going and more coming home can not remember the price.
This year I paid $ 89 going and $150 on the return.... however there was a few $89 flights available... but they were for the early morning. We decided to take the last flight out (7:10pm) to maximize our time at Disney:cool1:

If you can be flexible on the date., sometimes the same flight may be cheaper if you arrive/leave a day earlier or a day later. Also, you can always adjust your SW air tickets if the come out cheaper. You will get a credit for the difference. That credit has to be used within the year.

kparc- Way to go! A short work day and tickets to Disney! Sweet
When do you arrive in AUgust? WE will be at Disney AUg 27- Sept 4

HAPPY FRIDAY!

From Denver I paid for NON-Stop 3.5 hours-- 99.00 going down (Saturday) and 119.00 coming home (Sunday--9 days) with taxes and fees $239.99 total. The last trip we took to WDW was in Fall of 2008 and paid $250.00 RT w/taxes and fees total, for same lenght stay (Sat.--Sun 9 days) so I'm not complaining, I thought it would be more.

The only thing I was disappointed with was the time for the 1st NON-Stop was not until 10:25am and we usually get to leave at 7:00am NS. The flight that leaves at 7:00am has 1 plane change and takes 6 hours. Return was the same disappointment--
Have to catch the 12:30pm flight (119.00 oneway non-stop) if I wanted to
stay longer and leave at 6:00pm price went up (159.00 non-stop).

So hoping Free Dining will be offered during our stay and that will save us so much more.

Actually;), we are taking a direct flight to Tampa on August 14th for a cruise leaving the next day:goodvibes. After the cruise we are going to Disney:wizard:, (Tampa to Orlando, by train) (August 22nd) for 2 nights - POP Century (upgrade to AK if they extend the room discount or we get a PIN:surfweb:) - (we got the room free with Priority Club points) arrive August 22nd. Free one day park tickets :thumbsup2- volunteer day. We weren't :confused3 planning to go to Disney this year, we went last year for 11 days staying at CSR. BUT we ended up with Free Airfare:banana: coming (Southwest - points) and going:yay: (Jet Blue - credits) so we couldn't pass it uppopcorn::.

I am seeing the same thing too. The airfare significantly went up overnight! I am sorry I didn't book it when I saw $79 at least for my flight to Orlando. I think they will come down again but the price of gas keeps going up so now I am not so sure! Keeping fingers crossed.

WOW! I just went back to check the cost of the flight I booked at $74 on the day they included dates after August 14th and the same flight is now $112!!! Gotta hand it to the :worship:DW who told me to book as - soon - as the date became available. I don't know about Southwest, but last year Jet Blue gave us credit each time the fare went lower, we ended up with enough Credits to have no charge to our Airfare this year on one way tickets from Orlando to DC.
