Not sure how to use my points for a reservation

I need help figuring out how to combine my points for a future reservation. Do I need to transfer them from one contract to another?

April 2012 UY - 16 points
April 2013 UY - 171 points
Dec 2012 UY - 50 points

We want to make 2 separate reservations using all 237 points for travel next summer. I was going to make my first reservation this morning and I need 104 points. Later in the month I'm using the rest of the points for a second reservation.

Do I need to bank the April 2012 points to combine them with April 2013 giving me a total of 187 points? Do I also have to transfer my Dec UY into April 2013 to give me one big pot of points?

Are the two April use year contracts different member numbers or under one member number? Obviously the Dec. contract is a different number, so that's a different animal. It would also be helpful to know if they are all the same home resort. The advice could be different depending on your answers.

They are all BWV contracts. The April UY is just one contract and then the December is a different one. So we have 2 total contracts at BWV:
APR UY - 171 points
DEC UY - 50 points

the april 2012 pts need to be banked before they can be used to book a reservation in your 2013 UY. they must be banked by nov 30 at the latest.

the dec 2012 pts need to be transferred to your april UY contract to make things easier. otherwise, you could book specific nights in summer 2013 (which is in your dec 2012 UY) and ask MS to link the reservation with your reservation made with april UY pts...but you could not pool pts together to book a single night.

(edited to add: when you transfer dec 2012 UY pts to your april UY contract, those transferred pts retain their dec UY.)
