Not Sure How to Fix Will Call Ticket Problem

The introduction of putting tickets on your MDE account has created a bit of a self-inflicted ticket problem for me.

We are going to WDW in April. There are four of us, but my wife and I were planning a trip next January as well. So, we ordered 2 Annual Passes and 2 4 day tickets and put them on Will Call for "pickup" on arrival. We then went into MDE and assigned the tickets to each person so we can make F+ selections in a few days.

Now it turns out that we can't go in January so we don't need AP's now. We can use them in a couple of years. Under the old system, we would just hold the vouchers and buy new tickets, but I have no where to even start.

If I buy new tickets, how do I assign them to us, given that we have AP's assigned? Assuming that works, how do I pickup only a partial will call order for the 2 multi day tickets and make sure they do not activate the AP's by accident? In fact, is there anything to physically pickup at Will Call any more?

1- Under the old system, we would just hold the vouchers and buy new tickets, but I have no where to even start.

If I buy new tickets,

2- how do I assign them to us, given that we have AP's assigned?

3- Assuming that works, how do I pickup only a partial will call order for the 2 multi day tickets

4- and make sure they do not activate the AP's by accident? In fact, is there anything to physically pickup at Will Call any more?

1- Not much has changed with the AP card situation.
2- You can have multiple tickets on your MDE, but they can be set in "priority" of use.
You'd set your MDE (or have Disney set your MDE) with the new tickets as the priority.
(You can even have them "deactivate" the AP connection to MDE.)
3- At the ticket booth, you can just ask for the tickets that you want.
4- Just tell the CM you don't want to pick up the AP's.
AP's are STILL physical plastic cards. They issue the AP cards even if you have MagicBands.
The AP cards are still used for AP discounts, AP free parking, etc.

Thank you so much. So, basically I...

1 - Buy new tickets
2 - Assign them to each of us with a higher priority than the AP
3 - Pick only the tickets we wish to use when we arrive at Will Call (leaving the AP's alone)
4 - Pick up the AP's sometime in the future using the original Will Call number

I can do that.

3- I don't think you'll need to do anything regarding the new tickets.
They should be in your MDE account, ready to use, with no further action.

But, you COULD go to Guest Relations and ask them if they could "remove" your AP listings from your MDE account entirely.
Just leave the AP vouchers info in your pending "Will Call" file.

(BTW, "Will Call" can be done at any ticket booth or Guest Relations at WDW, not just at a window marked "Will Call.)

Oh, I sort of misunderstood. I thought you still had to go to Will Call/Guest Relations for MYW tickets that were put on Will Call. If I understand what you're saying, if I've purchased a MYW ticket and correctly assigned it to an MDE account with a Magic Band, I can go straight to the turnstile with the Magic Band.

In that case, I only have to go to Will Call when I'm ready to claim my AP.

I'll get this yet. :headache:

By George, I think you've GOT it!
