Hi i have been mulling this over for several weeks now.....we will be arriving at ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL at 15.10 18th december will prob get out by 16.10, my dilema is thgis is the very last day of mvmcp and im really wondering should we go???? :confused3while and my eldest is nearly 11 so am conscious that, as we try and get over every 2 years, we dont have too much time left of him being a child! i know this sounds really dramatic!! lol!!:rotfl:

just not sure after a 9 hour flight with 4 children 11...8....4...and 1 we will really enjoy it??? arghhhhh

all opinions very welcome! xxx

we're in the same boat i'm gutted that we're not going to manage it we decided jet lag will overtake us and we've already seen it once

jet lag will overtake us and we've already seen it once

this is what i was thinking! my little sis says no way we will be shattered but we have never been b4 and r preferred time is oct and may so cant see us going back at xmas anytime soon so dont know if to take a chance to see if we can pay on the gate if we feel up to it? but would there be any tickets left????:confused3

I love mvmcp but there is no way I would ever be able to drag myself anywhere but the nearest bed on our first night !! My kids were 13,9,8 and 4 last trip and my 8 year old was out cold for the night after a quick trip to shops for essentials !! I personally would not purchase them as even if you manage to get some energy from somewhere I think it will all be a bit too much xxx

Another one to say no. We are all usually in bed by 10 on arrival day and I would see it as a waste of money.

The parade will be shown as the daytime parade Xmas week anyway so you are missing some free hot cocoa and cookies and the fireworks.

The fireworks were good but not that good that I would buy tickets for 3 Adults & 2 kids!

No we are only fit for bed first night.

You will see parade and decorations anyway in the parks at xmas.

Thanks all!! its a resounding no!.. agreeing with my little sis Lisa x so i will continue to take all of ur advice and save our pennies!! xxx
thanks x

I just booked the party for my 1st night. November 13th. I thought it would be a good idea for my first night. The reasons mainly being I always go to MK my first day and it happens to be a party night. If I dont go to the party I will only be allowed to spend a few hours at the park, I can stay all night with the tickets. Plus the added advantage of all the free cookies I want and shorter wait lines. I probably will not stay till midnight, Ill stay till Im tired and then go back to the hotel and crash. I am soo excited!

Hi Caroline

IMO I wouldnt go on 18th, what happens if your flight is delayed???:sad1: you'd be gutted if you'd spent all that money on tickets and couldnt make it:sad2:

TBH, other than the hot choc&cookies, you will get to experience everything else, as the Christmas parade runs over christmas week, as does the snowing on Main Street, and I think xmas wishes (but im sure someone will tell me if this is wrong:confused3), christmas music etc.

I'd save your money too Caroline. We did the last party in order to buy us time as it was our only chance to visit MK before Christmas Day - with hindsight we needn't have bothered as MK ended up being very quiet on Christmas Day morning when we watched the parade again plus did all the rides we wanted to!

Everything is shown in the park on Christmas week including Christmas Wishes, I can remember seeing this on January 1st at the Dessert buffet, it seemed a bit surreal once we were in the New Year! The party exclusive merchandise was a bit of a joke because by the time it's the last party everything has virtually sold out and you're scrabbling around trying to find something.

Don't get me wrong, we thoroughly enjoyed the party and it was lovely seeing the Christmas parade in the dark but IMO it's not worth paying out all that money just for hot chocolate and cookies!

I am saying 'no' as well. On one trip dh and I arrived on a day when MK was hosting 'Night of Joy' and I was desperate to go. We purchased tickets before we went, but we were totally exhausted and I didn't really enjoy much of it at all - and we left well before the end. That was after a decent nights sleep pre the flight, and a quiet non child flight!

Last trip neither us or our 18month ds slept much the night before or on the flight... there is no way we'd have coped. It's gutting, but really all I can cope with on arrival is eating food and SLEEPING!
