Not sure about Cape May?

I have an ADR for Cape May, I had never heard of it until recently TBH, but I read such great things on here that I decided to give it a try. I am from Louisiana and we are known for our delicious ways of cooking seafood, Lent is no sacrifice for us, unfortunately! With this being said, will we be dissapointed with Cape May as I was told yesterday by someone who lives out here? Thank you for any help you can give me! My parents are coming with us and my dad LOVES the crabs which is why I booked this and I would hate for it to be a bad experience.

If you go into it thinking you'll be disappointed then, yes, you will be disappointed. It's a buffet that has some seafood options. I liked it but if you're expecting Bourbon House you'll be disappointed for sure.

I really like the dinner buffet at Cape May, (breakfast not so much,) but I thought the crab legs were really good, and I loved the variety of salads available.

Thank you! I have read mostly positive things about it and I try to go with the majority!

I do not eat seafood as I don't really care for fish, and I am highly allergic to shell fish. We ate at Cape May, in May 2010, and we all loved it! I booked a late dinner, around 8:30, and it was so nice, and relaxing. I really enjoyed the food, and I don't eat seafood! Dh said the crab legs weren't that great, but were good for being on a buffett. Even my dd, who was barely 3 at the time, gobbled up the Clam Chowder! I thought it was good, and we will book a late dinner there on our next trip.

I Love Cape May but if you are expecting Lousiana style/quality seafood and/or blue crabs you will be sorely dissapointed. Does your father like buffet style SNOW crab legs?

Michelle

My dad loves the snow crabs at casino buffets drowned in that yummy butter! I know we won't get La. style seafood, or any other La. food for that matter, but I just didn't want it to be "gross" as was described to me by someone else! Thanks for all the replies :)

Lol I was actually going to say "casino buffet style snow crab legs"

Sounds like he will be very happy. : )
