Not So Scary September Trip Report Sept 24th-Oct 3rd

This is my very first trip report. It will consist of Me, the Disney lover, DH, and DD who is 2.

I have been to Disney around 6 or 7 times. Our last trip was a Christmas gift from my grandmother. She took us during thanksgiving. We stayed at the Polynesian and had a view of the Castle. It was an awesome trip.

When we came home we started thinking about going back. In Feb we decided to take DD for her b-day in May. We asked BIL and SIL to go and they were acting like they would go. A few weeks later they said no. I was so disappointed. I had visions of my DD blowing out her candles at Disney.

So we had went out to eat with some friends and were talking about how disappointed we were they we werent going. They said they would love to go. They wanted to wait until September though so they could save the money. We agreed. I started planning right away. I wanted to stay somewhere nice but not the best. It was going to be awfully hard to compete with the Poly. My friends were wanting to go Moderate so I recommended the Coronado since we had stayed there before. We decided to go deluxe dining since we are all foodies and we like to eat at different places while on vacation. There will be ALOT of food reviews in this report. I also thought it would be worth it for us to do buffets. For one you get to see the Characters and two DD being 2 was free there. So we started getting it together and another pair of friends said they wanted to go. They have a DD who was going to be turning one shortly before they left. So they figured that was the perfect present. We all were so excited we couldnt stand it. We had originally planned for a sat-friday trip but the friends wanted to stay till Saturday. That was fine with me. Then DH decided he wanted to drive down on Friday since he was scheduled off that day and he said he didnt want to waste a day at home when we could be at Disney. Fine with me. So we left at 5 am on Friday and the friends left at midnight since they had to work that day. I knew it was going to be hot but I knew we would have a blast.

I was so excited I barely slept. I was going all the last min cleaning up and packing. We got up at 5 and we were gone by 6. We had never drove to Disney we had always flown. We were thinking it would take anywhere from 10-12 hrs. The GPS was saying 10 though. But we just werent sure. I took lots of snacks, movies, and I bought those magic markers that only draw on that paper. That was great. We went for 3 hrs and then stopped and had breakfast. Then we went another 4 and had lunch. Then we went another 2 had to stop to for a potty break and then we were there! we got in around 5 florida time. I was disappointed that it took us in the back way so we didnt get to see the big sign but it was kinda funny how my DD was pointing at the billboards and saying look. She looked so confused as to why Mickey was on a billboard.

First we were staying only one night at the Movies.Now let me start off saying I have never stayed at a Value and the last place I stayed was the Poly. So we walk in. I was excited as ever. Check in was super quick. We were in the Fantasia side which was great. near the pools close to the main lobby. The room was ok. Def not deluxe or moderate. We said we were glad it was only a one night thing. I felt like I was in a box. And the double beds were def small. DD did enjoy the resort though. Went and ate at the food court. It was really good. I had the baked chicken, DH had the philly cheese steak sandwich and DD had spaghetti and meatballs. Let DD swim in the pool then went to bed early to get up the next day. It was very very humid. I could tell already September was not the best idea...
