We just returned home this past Saturday ( I wanna go back!!) We had a wonderful time. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside for the first time, we didn't get a refurbished room and we still absolutely loved the resort. We will definitely stay there again. The pools were great, We used the main pool on Old Man island, and the quiet pool right outside our room a couple of times. There is a lot to do at this resort, but I would say one absolute must do is definitely Yehaa Bob Jackson, he was absolutely hilarious and got the whole family involved and boy did we all laugh. The crowds in the parks were not horrible, but it still helped to be there at rope drop for the parks, although quite funny that the teens and 20yr old wore down before myself and my wife. We normally don't eat in the parks, but we did this time more than usual, of course I would forget to take pictures of the food until half way through eating them, so I just didn't. I see a lot of people complain about the food, but we absolutely loved it. Breakfast both days in Magic Kingdom at Main Street Bakery and I thought the prices were ok for what was offered. We also ate at Starring Roles Cafe in Hollywood Studios for breakfast and lunch and thought it was really good. The prices were of course a little on the high side, it is Disney after all, but it was still good. We also got pineapple floats in Magic Kingdom, and if you like pineapple and pineapple juice these are a must get on a hot and sticky day! My wife and I started pin trading on this trip and enjoyed interacting with the cast members more than usual. We also started playing the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and enjoyed that as well. Our kids had very little interest in the pin trading or playing Sorcerers, but I did notice that most of the people playing Sorcerers while we were there were adults anyway. To try to answer some of the questions I have seen posted on the boards in the past. The singing in the rain umbrella was definitely working while we were there.

The Pirate Tutorial hosted by Captain Jack Sparrow, although mainly for the younger crowd was amusing and entertaining if you have time to check it out.

Also the tree of life has had a net put up and A Bug's Life was up and running as always. Overall the trip was still plenty enjoyable and it's time to start planning for the next big trip in November of 2013. I can't wait to go back, not sure how normal it is but as we were sitting in the car to leave the resort to head Back to South Carolina, this 40yr old man who normally tries to hide his emotions actually began to tear up knowing we were leaving and our visit with Mickey and the gang was over. Well that's about it for now, if you have any questions let me know and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.

I almost forgot there was quite a crowd gathered for the second showing of Fantasmic at 10pm the first night that we were in Hollywood Studios. We were about 20 feet back from the beginning of the line, and this was the scene behind us about an hour before opening the amphitheater.
