there are always a few things that you thought would be better than they were. the items we bought and not that long ago were the haunted mansion ghosts. when they came they were cracked and broke. now they are starting to peel on the edges

i am still very happy to have them in my home :cloud9:

but, there are a few items that i have bought that didn't meet the nice high standards disney normally has. yes, the compensation has been there. but, i would rather have the quality in the product.

i am just wondering what have you bought that wasn't such a good item?

The only thing I can think of is a pair of tri-circle Mickey earrings made of cubic zirconia (because when you're buying a souvenir, don't you deserve the very best, well at least something sparkly?). The largest 'gem' fell out the first time I wore it and they replaced it with a larger pair (well, movin on up, to the east side). At the parks, I've had good luck with souvenirs. T-shirts from the Disney store are a different story, that quality seems to be getting worse and worse.

I agree. I just bought some tiki mickey, goofy, and donald figures and they didn't hold up well at all. I have had them for all of four days. My son tripped over Donald and a big piece chipped off. You have to understand that they are only a foot tall and didn't fall far to the ground. They did say they were made in China....;)

I bought some of the Disneyland Executive dishwear. Two or three pieces had peeling paint on them.

Also, used my Mickey golf umbrella for the 4th time today. The string broke on on the the tines (or whatever they are called). I think I can fix it though.

You're right - a lot of this stuff is made in China and is of questionable quality. However, I usually get them from the Outlet area so the price is fairly good.

I keep getting these envlopes with nasty pieces of paper inside with high numbers left on my car.... anyway i can get them to stop? that's my worst souvenier.
