OK, so this is for those who won't be shopping and spending on Black Friday. I'm feeling a bit left out with all the BF strategizing and planning threads so I thought I'd start a thread for those who are opting out and want to share their plans.

(I hate shopping any day of the week and BF just gives me hives -- all the people, pushing, shoving, just not my thing.)

So if you're not heading out for the BF madness, what are you doing?

We're headed to the museum to check out a special exhibit that's in town admission is only $5 per adult, so a bargain for sure). I'm hoping that it won't be crowded with everyone at the malls. Then we're coming home and putting up the Christmas decorations. Should be a fun and cheap day!

I will be busy scrapbooking and listening to Christmas music then after DH gets off of work, we will go out to dinner for date night. Overall, a nice relaxing day! :goodvibes

I'll be finishing my law school applications and finishing touches to my personal statement for the apps.

I won't be shopping this year either. I will stay home, decorate for xmas and get my xmas cards done. I'm hosting a cookie swap and a baby shower the following weekends, so we will have lots of chores to do LOL.

Just found out last night that I will be having surgery on my foot! Went to the doctor last night telling them I want the wart removed. :hippie: They told me they were going to remove it but they are not sure what it is! :scared1:

And the best part, I will be on crutches for at least 3 weeks!!:headache:

Was looking forward to going out with a friend. But now I get to spend the day with either my son or mom at the hospital!:sad2:

Crutches in the winter in Maine?! Oh goodie, looking forward to that:laughing:

Guess I can shop on line

Two of my daughters are playing in a soccer tournament Fri. Sat. and Sun. Guess where I'll be???

I am staying home and chilling out.
I do not ever go out for black Friday. Way to many cracky people for me.

I am going to hit a couple of stores in the morning. Then I plan to be home by 10am and put up decorations and make cookies with the kiddos. :)

I will be in Lancaster, PA. We spend Fri-Sun after Thanksgiving. We love it!

we usually go out later in the day - not for the earlier madness.

DH and I might leave DD with her grandmother and get some shopping done for her. Though I am leaning toward having a quiet day cleaning and getting ready to decorate and then having a family movie night.

Sat we will hit the mall with DD and go to see "Bolt".

We are having our Thanksgiving on Friday. DH has to work a 24 hr shift on Thursday:sad2: He is an EMT & unfortunately there are still emergencies on the holidays.

I don't need anything on BF; most of my shopping is done and it's stuff that doesn't go on sale. ;)

We're cleaning the house and decorating for christmas.

Working, even though it makes no sense, since everybody I conduct business with will be closed. Oh well, it's a nice relaxing day before the first-of-the-year insurance changes start pouring in...

I am hitting a couple of stores really early (4 am ish) then grab a quick nap, pick up my girls at Grandmas house (they usually spend the night on Thanksgiving) and we are ringing bells for the Salvation Army in the early afternoon. Come home and finish watching Husker football (2:30 pm). We are going to see Bolt Thanksgiving night. Probably start decorating for Christmas on Saturday. DH and father in law will be putting up the outside lights this Wed. since it is supposed to be nice and our girls are out of school, they like to help out too.

Have a GREAT THANKSGIVING!

:santa: I'll be up at 5:00 a.m. to hit the airport to go to Walt Disney World for ten days!!!!

I can't think of a better way to spend Black Friday!:santa:

I was planning on going shopping and trying to get everything done in one day and just be done and able to relax and enjoy the small things this Christmas season but I will be attending a funeral instead. DH asked if I was going to still go shopping first but I think that would be way too long of a day. It is weird though, the wake was last night and the funeral not until Friday. I guess because it's a cremation?
