Has anyone done the princess breakfast at Napa Rose?

We did the princess breakfast at Napa Rose in September. It was the best character meal we've ever been to but it should be since it was also the most expensive. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is great. I think we met 10 princesses so you get a lot of princesses checked off the list. They also don't come to the table. There are 5 or 6 on the patio then one in the fireplace nook and then 2 or 3 in the lobby bar area. It was nice to have a nicer back drop than other families dining or the food on our own table. You could also avoid a character coming mid meal which is distracting for the kids. At the time it also included a necklace or an autograph book for the kids as well as a tote bag.

This sounds wonderful! It was on my radar prior to the shutdowns and just never happened. I have to try it.

I just looked up the price per person and it is currently $142 per person for both adults and children. Napa Rose is also currently undergoing refurbishment. We were wanting to have dinner there in July and we're sad to find that out when I went to make dining reservations.

That's really unfortunate about Napa Rose! I will admit I don't follow DL as closely as WDW so I wasn't even aware it was happening. Could it be something special for the 70th?

I’ve honestly never heard of these! They must be a big deal though. How often do they get released? Is there only one right now?

I’m not against the idea, if I can figure out how to get this to you without it breaking, and can find a time to get to Trader Sam’s.

I would've totally done this for you, especially since it was a leisure trip and didnt have commitments to anyone other than than myself.

I believe it was released within days (if not hours) of when you left FL.

Didn’t realize there were so many princesses— more than CRT or Akershus even. My daughter is close to aging out of this so I’d consider splurging but I would be surprised if it is as pleasant with Napa Rose closed. I’m surprised they are renovating it in the middle of the 70th.

Did you see the costumes for the Donald one? I am obsessed!
Food looks pretty decent took with lots of options. Just not sure I can convince my husband the $200+ price tag is worth it.....
(Also, not even sure if this will still be around in December. I have no idea how often they switch these things around.)



I know. We have such cute ones from when he was little. It made me so sad when he stopped being willing to see characters. We did get one with Captain America last trip but I prefer the non-face characters better.

We always think it’s worth it but it’s the characters for us. Storytellers food is much better than goofys kitchen food imo. I hope Donald sticks around for awhile.

It’s possible it’s just part of VGC refurb. We haven’t ever considered it since my son isn’t into princesses but my grandaughter is 1.5, can’t wait til she wants to go!

So…. I was at the mall today picking up some dresses for my wife…. and I was window shopping some of the jewelry stores and saw the prices and thought to myself…. that necklace is as much as my small BW contract….. Houston…. we may have a problem…..

I was surprised as well but since the 70th goes on through the end of the year it may have been difficult to avoid the entire celebration time. It looks like it's scheduled to be closed spring 2025- fall 2025. They were probably trying to avoid spring break, most of oogie boogie and the holiday season. We'll be back for Christmas and we just did dinner at Napa Rose in February so we will survive. I'm trying to remember all the princesses when we were there but I think it was Ariel, Jasmine, Mulan, Raya, Belle, Tiana, Pocahontas. I thought there were a couple more that we missed getting pictures with . So I may have lied about there being 10 but 7 is a lot more than Akershus and CRT. The Plaza character breakfast also had 5 or 6 characters.

This is so nice! The photos are much better than the standard character meal with tables and plates. I can easily justify the price

The Crislu Disney parks jewelry or Dooney purses costs less and are more likely to get worn as well.

After 18 years of marriage it’s really hard to find anything that would:
A) Move the needle/make it into the rotation

B) Meet Goal A and not be outrageously expensive

I own 2 of the best Dooneys I think they ever made *pops my collar* so I wouldn't likely ever buy another. I did eye those Dooney ears though

We were in the Tiffany’s in downtown Waikiki one night and they closed the store because Jason Mamoa walked in after we did and had crowds following him.

I took the kids to a different section/floor so my wife could shop in peace and maybe have a celebrity interaction.

I said she could buy anything she wanted up to $1k no questions asked…. She literally couldn’t find a single thing that was interesting at that price point.

Also, Jason Mamoa had no interest in even breaking a smile the entire time we saw him…. I lived in LA for a long time, so I don’t fanboy over celebrities or ever want to bother them…. but most will at least give a nod and a smile if you are one of 5 people in a room together and you make eye contact….
