Not renewing an Annual Pass...ticket question: Getting so annoyed!

We decided we are not going to renew our youngest DD's annual pass this time around but it does expire a few days before we check-out leaving her without tickets on our last two days of vacation. I'm looking at purchasing a discounted 2-day PH pass but how will that work when we link them on MDE? I want to be sure the 2-day pass does not kick in until her AP expires and when I contacted Disney about this, the CM didn't seem to know how to handle. Anyone know how this will work?

It has been explained before on this board but I am not sure where.

But I think you go to guest services and tell them which ticket you wish to have priority. Not sure of this can be done over the phone or if it must be in person.

And, we should note, I don't think you'll be able to find a "discounted" two-day ticket. The resellers actually charge more for those short tickets because Disney don't discount them at all.

I wanted to link the tickets so we could make Fastpasses ahead of time and the "magical" agency we are using had two day PH tickets cheaper than what Disney was charging and it comes with a bonus...free water park or Disney Quest admission.

Go for it.

Thanks Robo but do you think I'll be able to prioritize the tickets ahead of time so her AP is used before the regular tickets?

Sure.
Just stop by any Guest Relations at some time before you enter the first park.

Update:
So I purchased the 2 day PH tix from the agency and linked them to my DD on MDE. I was told yesterday by a tix CM that once I did that, I could call back and they would prioritize them for me now so I could make fastpasses for her for the last two days of our trip in August. I just called back and now they're telling me that they can't do it...WTH!!

But you dont really need them to. As Robo said go to guest services before she goes through a gate and prioritize them. They can be linked by you for purposes of fastpass before you go.

You can only prioritze them at Guest Services. Just make sure you go there before she enters a park. But you can still make fastpasses.

Even if you could prioritize the tickets over the phone, I would still stop by guest services to verify (and double verify) that the tickets were actually prioritized the right way. I have seen way too many reports of tickets being used in the wrong order.

I've already linked them but still cannot make fastpasses for the last two days because the system is only recognizing her AP. I'm so frustrated because I was specifically told yesterday that they could prioritize over the phone. I've just been transferred to someone else...on the phone now for 30 minutes...let's see.

Situations like this are why a keep a fully loaded Nerf "Gun" nearby when ever I have to call Customer "Service" somewhere.....

Note: A two day pass with one water park or other fun admission is a promotional (nonstandard) ticket that is most likely not upgradable. It might also have a hard expiration date even if never used. It may be exactly what you need. Or it might not be suitable if you change your plans (like extend your vacation yet another day) or if you buy a different ticket at the last minute and choose not to use the two day for the time being.

Standard 2 day passes with water park fun come with 2 fun visits.

You can always enter the park with her hard ticket instead of her MagicBand then no issues. We have done that before in the same situation.

Yes, we prioritized at GR before entering. Each night I logged on to MDE to make sure my 2 day ticket had not been touched.

My TA had explained all this before I decided to pull the trigger on these tix :).

I do plan to stop at guest relations to make sure those tix do not get used until after her AP expires.
