Not really a "second" Honeymoon

Hi gang,

Well, after our wonderful but short post-DFTW trip in January, DH and I are lucky enough to be making our 2nd trip to the World this year, leaving on Saturday. Here's my question. We bought the B&G ears and wore the buttons on our last trip. Is it cheating to bring them and wear them again for this trip? It's not technically our "honeymoon," but couldn't we still be considered newlyweds? Am I just greedy for pixie dust?

I say why not! We had such a good time with everyone wishing us well that DH wants to wear his button everywhere! It definitely makes the nice come out in everyone!

Hey I say go for it... You might get some free stuff;)

I might be pissing people off here, but I think you shouldn't wear them again. You have already had your chance to be showered with attention and wearing them again may serve to detract from other brides who are there on their honeymoon. It would be like wearing your birthday pin just because you were going to be in Disney and wanted the attention, even though it wasn't your birthday.

That being said, you didn't clarify how long your last trip was. Some girls wear the ears for over a week while being there on their honeymoons. If you only got a couple days in on the last trip, I'd be more oaky with you donning them again.

Not pissing me off, I appreciate the honesty! DH thinks I am greedy for even suggesting this anyway! :rotfl2:

Anyway, we only got in four days at the parks after the wedding, so it wasn't a super-long trip. I think we're going to leave the ears at home for this trip... Maybe we'll use them for future anniversaries!

I say YES- wear the ears... and heres why.

I believe it is said that guests have up to 1 yr to send the new bride and groom a gift (whether its the right thing to do misnt my point). That being said-- you are still considered a 'honeymooner' during that period. So yes-- you are still celebrating your "honeymoon" and are still honeymooning! I say live it up! Life is too short to drink cheap wine-- so why not suck it up and make the most out of it, ya know? No one there will know that you didnt just get married... and when they ask you when you got married no need to lie. Plenty of ppl honeymoon a bit after the wedding.

I say wear the ears proudly!

We waited an entire year to celebrate our honeymoon and I'm sure we aren't the only people to have ever had a delayed honeymoon. We didn't have the ears, but did wear the pins. We didn't get any extra "pixie dust" but we still had a great time anyway!
