So after looking at the GP offers for a possible up coming trip in June, I decided I would just call and talk to a CM and see if I had a pin code attached to my name, and sure enough there was one that the CM said was good for the entire year, but she couldn't give me any other details on the offer. She said we would just have to input in some dates and locations and see what came out. So I had here enter AKL Pool View Bunk Beds for 6/16 -6/23 and she came back with a price of about $2100. I am thinking this is a great price, but since my DW and and I hadn't exactly decided what we wanted to spend I didn't book anything at that time, hoping the I wasn't going to live to regret that decision.

The next day I had to fly out on a quick trip and upon arrival my DW tells me that we got a PIN code in the mail good for 30% off during June. Now I am thrilled, and start pricing things out online.

The family finally decides that we want a AKV 1 Bedroom suite standard view, because that will give us a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair and my DS16 and DD20 wont have to sleep together. Also, my DS has informed me that he is now too tall to sleep comfortably in the AKL Bunk Beds. So we are all set, the debate on hotels has ended, I will call the next day and make the reservation. Ok, here is where you say, why didn't you just make the reservation online and be done with it. Well I wanted to make sure that the PIN number I had on my name with Disney wasn't a better deal.

So today I get up and am getting read to call and decide to look up what I want online, so I can tell the CM exactly what I want. What??? That room option is gone???? This can't be, it was just available last night. I call anyway and sure enough that room option is not available with the PIN they have either.

Luckily in the course of debate we had ranked our choices so I just went with option number two which is Beach Club CL. I had found that room online for $3264, the CM quoted me a price of $3045, so by my calculations that is 35% off the room.

So while we love AKL and were looking forward to staying there again, we are excited to try something new at the BC. I think in the end I got a great deal and am looking forward to being back at Disney after a three year absence.

Congrats on 2 pins. I know it stinks that your first choice isn't available, but I think your family will love the Beach Club. Being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is such a nice convenience.

$3045 vs. $3264 would only be a 9% discount

The $3264 was what I found online with my 30% off PIN code. I just priced it online without any PIN and it was $4579. I think the $3045 works out to be a 35% discount, or close to that.

I was happy with the 30% PIN I had, but ecstatic when the CM beat that price even.
