That's the baby coaster. Is that the best you can do? :rotfl2:

Is that identical to the Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California? If so, it really isn't that bad. I'd much rather go on a smooth drop coaster than one that jerks you all around (like RNRC!). They just give me a headache.

Top Thrill Dragster
Cedar Point amusement park/resort stunned thrill-seekers in 2003 when it debuted the park's unprecedented 16th, yes, 16th roller coaster - Top Thrill Dragster. Reaching a stratospheric 420 feet tall and topping out at an unheard of speed of 120 mph, Top Thrill Dragster became an instant favorite.

Riders begin their epic journey aboard this whopping 42-story screamer by securing themselves into ultra-cool trains that resemble top fuel dragsters. The train then moves into a "starting line" position, where it launches forward, reaching speeds of 120 mph in approximately four seconds.

But hold on … this isn't your father's roller coaster. The train then zooms straight up the 420-foot-tall hill on track that rotates 90 degrees, crests the coaster's apex and then free-falls back to Earth, reaching a speed of 120 mph for the second time. As the train races more than 400 feet to the ground, the track twists an unbelievable 270 degrees - what a rush! Riders then return to the station to begin regaling their friends with stories of the greatest ride of their lives.

Soaring 420 feet into the sky, Top Thrill Dragster is the tallest structure ever built on the historic Cedar Point Peninsula.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS
Track Length: 2,800 feet
Lift Height: 420 feet
Angle of Lift Hill: 90 degrees
Vertical Drop: 400 feet
Angle of Descent: 90 degrees
Angle of Twist on Descent: 270 degrees

Millennium Force
What else would you expect from the roller coaster capital of the world? Standing a staggering 310 feet tall and reaching speeds of a remarkable 93 mph, the $25 million Millennium Force "giga-coaster" was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in North America when it debuted in May 2000. This steel monster looms over the Cedar Point skyline beckoning guests to take the ride of their lifetime.

Riders travel up the amazing first hill at a 45-degree angle in sleek blue, red or yellow trains that offer tiered seating for optimum viewing. Once at the top of the mammoth structure, passengers zoom down a 300-foot-long drop at an outrageous 80-degree angle - that's almost straight down! From there, riders encounter overbanked (extremely banked, but not quite inverted) turns, dark tunnels, towering hills and lots of "airtime." The wild journey covers 13 acres and 1.25 miles of brilliant blue steel tubular track.

Since its first summer, Millennium Force has given more than 7.1 million riders yet another reason to scream at the home of the largest collection of rides and roller coasters in the universe, Cedar Point amusement park/resort. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall.

Well, I am planning on going to SFOG and riding it. I'll let you know what I think of it. Love the coasters.

Don't they have this ride at another six flags some where already? Unless it's another goliath. I can do pretty much any roller coaster no problem but I hate the rides that spin you around in circles!! Go figure!

I agree, compared to Cedar Point 200 FT is nothing. Cedar Points smaller coasters are higher than 200 FT.
It sounds good for the non coaster enthusiasts but for the coaster hunters like me it would be a day trip.
I take the 8 hour drive to Cedar Point with my family just to get on those 13 wonderful coasters.
My favorite has always been the stand up coasters. I wish they would make one of those 200 FT or more. Peggie

I think I'll get in line now. That sounds like a great ride. Sheikra in Busch Gardens has a 200' drop and it's FABULOUS!

200 feet is nothing, not that I would ride that particular coaster. Last summer DD and DH had to ride Kingda Ka at SF Great Adventure.

We're talking 456 feet! and over 125 mph! :scared: :faint: That's it in the background.

Totally agree! The newer ones ARE higher and faster, but so much smoother!

I don't know if anyone is near Six Flags Great America, but I *HATED* Shockwave! That one bangs you around so much it gives you a headache!

I wonder if anyone has passed out on that one at Cedar Point?? 120 MPH...good NIGHT!

So what's good at Great America? We have season passes to six flags and I'm considering road-tripping up to Gurnee (woo hoo!) since we can get in free. If it's not going to be worth it, we might consider Kings Island.

And to the OP, yes I would ride that in a heartbeat. As long as I don't have to wait in line for an hour. :crazy2:

That is nothing! My 5 year old would ride that (if he was tall enough!)

I agree with others that Cedar Point rules! Top Thrill Dragster is the best!!!!

You should see the ones at cedar point in ohio.

True..why do you think I was like in a hurry to get in line that the OP posted? lol
The ones at Cedar Point make me go
but are fun to ride anyway...
