Well, my move day is set. The builder said the house would be done by mid-May. I contracted with a mover. We will load our belongings on May 29th. The mover will leave that day for Olrando. We fly to Orlando on May 31st. I made reservations for us to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3 nights while waiting for our belongings to arrive and get set up. The pets will be flown in on June 4th. I thought I had everything worked out. Today the designer calls to tell me that they can't get the floor tile that I picked out. The tile is supposed to be in several rooms. This could throw everything off. ARGH! The good news is that my sister's house will also be ready. If necessary, I guess I can move in with her for a few days. Darn! I knew it was all going too smooth!

I feel your pain. My TH was supposed to be done for settlement on June 1st. Perfect as the lease on the hell hole I am in will expire at the end of June. 2 weeks ago, I get told the new date is July 13th, and last week I had to pick new ceramic becasue the builder changed vendors. But all is not bad news, my landlord extended the lease, the new vendor meant I got to pick new countertops, which I like better, and while I liked the original ceramic, it was a dark shade of cinnamon, the new tile is the same color, but a lighter shade.

Good wishes for the rest of your time, I think your new home is very nice looking, and I envy you being able to move to Florida.

Can you tell me a bit more about this? How many pets, who's doing it and any contact info. The logistics of moving all my cats seems over whelming should we ever really get out of here.
