Hi everyone!

My name is Missy...you can call me AB! I found out a few days ago that my best friend from London is coming to Disney World in October. So, a spur of the moment decision by my fiance has decided that we are going, as well.

So! HI! and I'm really excited. It's my first time going to Disney since I was 12 and I'm 22. So...a long ten years in between my visits to heaven.

I don't think this is the right place for this...but I will ask here anyways.

1) Hotel - We are staying at the All Star Music Resort (sorry if there are abreviations). Does anyone have any information about the resort? The website seems a little vague to me. I'm paranoid, because it's my first time making reservations or anything. What are some of the features like the food and what did you like about the rooms? Were they large or small? Were they worth the money or would an upgrade be worth more?

2) The ground service - I chose the ground service from the Airport to Disney World. They are going to bring me and my bags. That way, I don't have to rent a car. Did you like the service? It's free, but were they good with you and your bags?

3) The Parks - How many days for each park? Is it hot in October? What are your recommendations for each park and what to see, and what part of the day to see it? How do you recommend that we dress? What do you bring to the parks with you? How much spending money should we bring?

Lastly (sorry for all the questions), how did you make your reservations? Did you go through the Disney site? or through an agent?

Again...sorry for all the questions. I'm the only one who will plan all of this, as he works a ton (because getting my master's degree isn't work *scoff*) and I've never been on my own on anything. So, I'm excited and a little overwhelmed.

To answer your questions...

I like Music, I just don't love how it's set up because if you are in some of the buildings you can get to be quite far away from the main building with the food and all that. For as much time as you spend in the room I wouldn't worry about upgrading. In my opinion, the rooms from a value to a moderate are quite similar it's the grounds and amenities that are different (and not a big enough difference for me to go back to moderates, I'd rather save my money for other areas of the trip).

The magical express is great, we've never had a problem with bags. Do pack a day bag in your carry-along for stuff you'll need that day because your luggage will come a number of hours after you do. The buses from the airport leave quite regularly so you shouldn't have to wait ridiculously long.

As for your other questions I have no idea about October weather or crowds and don't typically do reservations. I'm a fly by the seat of my pants Disney traveler so I can't handle having to plan as far in advance as you need to for reservations. For park days and lengths, that's a very personal decision but recommendation would be at least a full day for MK and Epcot if not more. If food and wine is going on then you'll want at least 2 days in Epcot. I would spend 1/2 day to a day each at MGM/Studios and Animal Kingdom. I'm personally not a fan of AK, so I'm not a good judge of how long others might spend there. My brother and sister could spend days there and you can't get me out of it fast enough so :confused3

Hope you have a great trip! Be sure to research fastpass and extra magic hours so that you can fully utilize them as well.

Hey! I found you!!! ^___^

When I went last February, I easily spent an entire day in each of the four parks and half a day if not most of the day in downtown disney.

As I told you last night, Music was a fun resort, though reading the replies about the distance I sort of agree, we were in the back building of the resort by the back smaler pool, but to be honest, the weather was so nice it didn't bother us that we had like a 1minute longer walk to our room than the other guests in the building right by the food court/reception lol.

HEY!!!

Thank you guys for answering what questions you could. Like I said, sorry for all the questions. I'm an early planner and a paranoid, obsessive waiter. I hate waiting...lol

I will probably be packing by July.
