So I didn't see this mentioned before but it looks like Disney is introducing a Buddy Pass?

This is available at Monster Inc, and seems like a Single Rider type pass for two people.

They’ve had these for awhile. They also have them at TSMM.

They aren’t always available, but you can ask. The first time we got one at Monsters Inc, they approached me and my daughter and offered us one. She was tiny, so I’d guess 2016 or earlier.

Weird, confirmed available occasionally for Monsters, TSMM, and Incredicoaster

We got one of these back in October of 2018 at Monsters Inc. It actually ended up helping to turn around a not great day.

Can someone explain what a buddy pass is?
It’s basically single rider for two people.

To clarify further, you can go up and say, “are you guys using buddy pass right now?” And if they are, they’ll give you a pass like in the OP and send you through the exit or FP line or whatever.

I am just wondering how the buddy pass is supposed for tsmm...
And they have that thing for incredicoaster as well?
weird

I wish I had known this years ago. 95% of our visits are just DH and I. We would have used the heck out of this pass. Especially TSMM.
Is it just TSMM, Monsters, and IC?

My husband and I were handed one on our way into Monsters, Inc. a few years ago. It was a neat little bit of Pixie Dust.

I asked the Monsters Inc Cast Member that gave use the Buddy Pass and they said that TSMM and Incredicaoster will give them out on occasion.

Not sure if its a CM preference or you need to ask for it.
I just never seen or heard about it until today.

It's basically a Single Rider type pass for Two Guests instead of just One.

So, the first time we got one, it was given to us by a CM; however, we’ve since asked (very nicely) at Monsters and been given one a few times, CMs cheerful and not acting like we’re entitled or anything for asking. Also we’ve been told they’re not using them sometimes. My daughter’s the one who remembers/asks, not sure if it makes a difference that it’s a kid.

Never tried at TSMM and didn’t know about Incredicoaster, but we pretty much only go back there if we have a FP.

When I go solo, I usually will do buddy pass for Monsters. I always ask (nicely of course), and they have always given me one. The only time they didn't was when the wait time was 15 minutes. It's nice during the summer months because you wait inside in A/C.

I've tried on TSMM, and they aren't ever doing them, so I will normally fastpass it.

We've never asked for them, but receive them most often for Monsters, Inc. Usually CMs offer them to us because they like our Disney Bound outfits or because we've had a fun conversation with them or if they've seen us do something nice for another guest. It just seems to be a nice bit of pixie dust that they can give guests as a surprise.

We always send my son up to ask, tell him to say please and thank you. We’ve used it a few times for monsters.. gonna try tSMM next trip. This is the first I’ve heard about it for incredicoaster

We've been using them at Monster's Inc for years. They used to automatically offer it, but now we always ask if they have any. When I read here that they had it for Toy Story Mania, I tried asking there a few months ago on a busy day and they said they weren't giving them out on that day. Always worth asking, though.

For TSMM you go in through the disabled entrance with a buddy pass, at least when I got one. That's a smaller pathway to the side, near the shop if memory serves me correct.
