Well as the title says, not long to wait now....

I can't believe that I still get excited about going, it's not all to do with WDW but the whole experience of staying in Florida, we love it :cool1:

I always try to book/organise something new for us to do, this time it is Legoland (HUGE thanks to DIXONSONTOUR for the pepsi promo code :flower3:), bought our tickets online (kids go free) so quite excited about going there.....

Also booked the Wishes Dessert Party thingy.... I LOVE watching Wishes, not so sure that the rest of my troop do but hey ho.... We watched from the CG one year (DH's birthday) which was lovely, we watched from the Poly beach last year which was 'ok' but a bit of an anti climax really, everyone was a bit tired and DH was convinced he was being eaten alive by mosi's (he didn't have one bite the next morning I hasten to add!)....

There were a few dates to choose from but ended up booking towards the end of Aug, I didn't realise it was EMH when I booked but I am now hoping that this may work in our favour as not everyone will be leaving the park at the same time?!? Anyway, I am looking forward to it regardless :thumbsup2

So, suitcases out at the weekend, may as well get packing some summer clothes as it's not as though we will need them here in next few weeks :lmao:

One final note, does anyone have elderly relatives that they worry about leaving? We go for such long spells now (4 weeks in Aug), my Mum and Dad are both in their mid 70's and although both are in very good health I do worry about what would happen should they be taken ill while we are away. DH thinks I am a bit mad as what will be will be and also he doesn't really have close family ties like I do :lovestruc

Anyway, that's me for now :goodvibes

Ali :goodvibes

My dad is 83 this year and had two heart attacks last June. Although he's made an amazing recovery i still worried like mad when we went away this May.I made my mum email me every night we were there just for some reassurance:)

Don't worry about it. Its something that worrying won't help or make a difference, just enjoy your countdown:)

I know what you mean about getting excited. Despite this being our tenth trip, I still do get excited. We are also trying Legoland this year and, since we're going to see a lot more of Florida this time, I am really looking forward to many new experiences.

Looks as though our trips will overlap Ali, so if you see us around you will have to say 'hi' although we don't actually arrive in Orlando until the 20th as we have 2 weeks of the Keys and the coast beforehand.

My relatives aren't elderly and I know it's not the same thing at all but DH is really worried about leaving his cat this time as he's nearly 20 and getting really thin and unsteady on his feet. There is nothing much you can do except try to relax and enjoy yourself and not worry too much about 'what might happen'.

I don't worry as such about my mum and dad (both early/mid 70's) but more about my sister who is disabled and has episodes of going down hill then going into hospital, they do what they have to do and she comes home more or less like she was before. But each time she looses just a bit more of her movement/sight. I always leave all the contact numbers possible for my mum and dad but while I am away for the three weeks I just try and put it all out of my mind because what will be will be!

I am going in Sept 3rd and already thinking of getting my case down as well.

Enjoy your countdown and don't worry because there isn't really a need to.:)

It never seems to sink in properly until we check into the airport hotel the night before.

I'm sure the rest of your family will love the Wishes Dessert Party. :cool1: If they don't care about fireworks, at least they can feed their faces with all things decadent and leave you undisturbed to watch :rotfl:

We leave on September 5th for the airport hotel, so I have marked out September 4th to get our cases down :lmao:

Glad you managed to get legoland tickets sorted. Have a fab time - 4 weeks wow :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm sure your family wouldn't want you worrying whilst you are away.
