Not informed of closing

Why wouldn’t a broker or the title company inform me that my contract had closed? I found out from my loan company (which has been great, btw). Are the service providers that overworked these days? Just curious whether to allow a pass or look elsewhere next time.

We've only had one contract, but the title company was proactive in telling us when closing was scheduled and confirming with us on the scheduled day that closing was complete.

We have always gotten an email things closed. Not sure if was the exact day or next one, but my contract always showed up on the comptrollers site when I checked after getting the email.
