Not happy with our guide!***Updated***

We just got our paperwork from DVC. I went on and on with my guide when I was giving him our info. I told him to be sure to put my DH as a III. Well low and behold our paperwork is wrong. No III. I called QA and asked about this as sometimes III doesn't fit as he has a long name. Larry was super and said no it was not in the system and yes it matters a lot!! He is sending me new paperwork today but said this would push our closing back a few weeks!! :badpc: I feel let down all ready. I know it is a little thing that can be fixed but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Thanks for letting me vent. I think the holiday stress is getting to me! I need some turkey and a nap.
 
Do you know for a fact that it was your guide that made the mistake? My understanding is that they take the information and then it goes somewhere else for processing. I, personally, would not ASSUME the guide made the mistake unless I had absolute proof. Anyway, I am glad that it is getting straightened out even though it has to be frustrating.
 
I wouldn't assume it was the guide's fault either. It probably got changed by someone making out the final papers. These are the kind of things that happen at property closings all the time. It would be nice if people would do their job, but that doesn't always happen.
 
Oh, I though that my guide took care of all our paperwork, not someone else. Good to know. I was just venting, I didn't call my guide or anything. No need to with Larry taking care of it. But def. good to know in the future. Thanks gang!
 

Actually, I'm quite sure a closing division within DVC does the paperwork.
 
My DH is a III too. This happens all the time to him, people are ignorant as to the importance of maintaining specific identity information. It's just as maddening as when important papers are prepared without middle initials.
Anyone at disney who had their hands on your contract could have made the error.
 
Thank you all for your information. It seems my guide was "informed" of my displeasure with the situation and it will be taken care of. :sunny:
