it's WAYYYYYY to early! I don't like the Christmas decorations up on Nov 4. I actually don't like Disney at Christmas time anyway and am dissapointed they are up so soon.

Guess this is our last trip in Nov!

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the decorations but I understand that many people do not like to decorate early. We are going at Thanksgiving and I love seeing them-to me what more magical place that WDW during the holidays?!

It was so neat to see the park at 12:00 midnight Halloween night and then the next day go into Christmas mode complete with Christmas music and charactors at AK dressed in Christmas customs....

Disney is beautiful at Christmas.

Funny how people either hate it or love it. I for one LOVE IT. :-) Sorry it's messing up your trip. Maybe next time you can go in January or February?

I happen to agree. The official start of the Holiday season is the day after Thanksgiving not the day after Halloween. I love WDW at Christmas, but Early November is NOT Christmastime. Are the decorations always up this early in WDW??

wel they probably need the extra time to make sure its all converted over by Thanksgiving, and since it can't be done over night.....they started now. Between all the big details (the tree for example) to the little details (ribbons here and there, wreaths, etc.) i am not surprised!

but i too don't mind. its all part of the season! and I love it!

I was at my local mall this evening and the Christmas decorations are up...Santa's house is even up already....seems too soon to me (puts me in panic mode because I have NOTHING done yet for the holidays)

You don't. Someone else does. That's the way it is. I liked it when they went up after Thanksgiving Night, but that's just me.

But that's when they start putting up the 4th of July decorations :rotfl:

It seems like it's half and half as far as liking decorations up early. I am already starting to decorate my house on the inside! We don't normally start until the day after Thanksgiving but we are not having anyone over this year so we thought we'd take a running start on it! It takes us usually around 6 or 7 weeks to get inside and outside done. I love Disney decorations anyway...it can be a little much for those who aren't BIG into decorations. :teeth: Sorry you don't like them but I hope that didn't put a damper on your stay! :teeth: Helen

All the stores are Christmased-up and I was actually getting in the mood today (as I was buying 75% off Halloween candy :rotfl2: )

I'd love to know what decorations are up at Disney already? Where do they start? (resorts, parks?) It all sounds magical to me (can't wait until our "first" in December!!)

I am almost finished shopping already. Having surgery the 22nd and then going to Disney and hopefully Lilly will be home so it's now or never. I love christmas though. I agree that it is probably to give them enough time to get them finished by thanksgiving.

I think the retail industry is really pushing it this year. I noticed it here in Chicago too. They are starting to decorate way to soon. The stores already have alot of Christmas up already.

It's not just Disney! We were out shopping today and it's like overnight it is Christmastime! Crazy that is getting to be this early.

I was at the mall today and Santa was already there and there was a LINE! Way too early for me!!!!!

I'm all for the decorations at Disney! It gives me more of a chance to get those pictures while it's less crowded than when it's packed with people... I'm even going to MVMCP twice this year to make sure I see everything! :)

I feel like it's way too early too! We went to WDW in early November 2004 and I don't remember the decorations up then. We left on November 13th and I remember they were putting on the Christmas tree in the Wilderness Lodge and I felt that was way too early too.

Well I agree with you! It's too early! We went in Nov. last year and we were expecting the Stars and Motor Cars Parade at MGM but we got the Xmas parade! My DS6 was Soooooooo dissapointed! He wanted to see the Star Wars car! And I just think it is too early. If they do need time to the get it all up then that is fine they could start with the resorts and do some of the smaller things in the parks but not the parades and the garland on Main Street so soon!
