Not Happy. Hot Water outage at SSR.

I took a cold shower this morning at SSR...the 8000 building. I am going out for dinner with a friend I have not seen in 20 years and wanted to get all cleaned up and prettified after a day at the parks and there is STILL no hot water. ARRGHH!!!!

I called first thing this morning, and when I got back to the room just now there was a message on my voice mail informing me of the "unplanned hot water outage" with no time frame on when it would be restores.

I am SOOOO not happy right now.

Well, stuff happens. Just fact of life. Does SSR have showers in the pool area? If so go grab a shower there. I know at OKW there are showers in the restrooms near the pool.

And I believe the spa/health club is closed down for renovation too so no showers there. Brrrrr - I feel for you!

I called the front desk, explained my situation and they were able to get me into a unit in the next building over to take a shower. I feel better now.

Unfortunately, even in the land of Mickey & maintenance issues arise. One thing though, you know they will be rectified as quickly as humanly possible at WDW!

At least they helped you out!

And I know the pain of that situation, only without the warm shower at the end. We stayed one night at the hilton anaheim last fall, and in the morning the ENTIRE high-rise building was without hot water. I had no choice, and had to take the ice cold shower. The line for complaints was nearly out the door, but we had no time. Just waiting on hold to find out what was going on had taken nearly half an hour out of my getting-ready time!
