Not going this year?

So there are threads/ is a thread about going to Disney World this year but, has anyone had to cancel or are unable to go this year due to the economy?

I know I have! (Not trying to brag) I have gone every year since I was very little so I can't believe we are not going this year . Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't get to go to WDW every year. Heck, I don't get to go to WDW at all for the most part. I begged for months before my parents said yes for June last year.

I probably won't see it again for several more years.

I will get to go to Disneyland for a day, because I got tickets to the D23 Walt Disney Studios tour, and my dad said he'd take me. It's really just a quick thing, since we're in southern CA for the tour, we're also looking at colleges and such.

I hate not going...I can't imagine not ever seeing Disney World or never being there...

Hmm, I am wondering if it will ruin it by living so close to WDW maybe it should just be a once in a while thing to keep it interesting...

To be honest, if I had a choice, I'd probably choose Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland over WDW.

Quality has gone way downhill in the parks lately.

My brother loves Disney Land (not cali. Adventure) He is a big Disney fan so he likes see the first park built..lol. I want to go to Tokyo Disneyland as well it would be so cool!

They were going to suprise me with a trip for my birthday but decided not to a week before due to money and sorts.

It was a total bummer.
But we're planning on going next year.

I haven't been in 3 years and a half.
A lot of it was due to my brother going to university, and then gas prices being so high that there was extra fuel fees.
I don't see us going anytime soon either. Maybe next year, but it's always maybe ___ and it's never then.

I haven't gone in like 2 years...I'm hoping I can convince my grandma to take me for my 16th birthday since my parents say it's too expensive but I highly doubt it'll happen

Yah...my situations that same as the OP...
I've gone every year since 1995. This is the first year I won't be going. =( Normally we'd be planning it at this time of year as we go in December. It's really sad to not be planning or thinking about the year's trip. With the economy and me going to college in a year, my parents decided that it was best if we didn't go. I'm not sure when the next time I'll be there is with college in a year and all that comes along with that....
