Not going in 2005, rented all our points

This is harder than I expected it to be. (oh, I knew it was going to be hard not going to Disney in 2005, I just didn't think THIS difficult)

We made the decision to skip Disney next year, because this year we had 3 trips planned. The money we got from renting the points was more important than another trip. (we are trying to sell our house and need to have a new roof put on before we can sell)

Now, I am thinking about calling and booking a 2005 trip on borrowed 2006 points!!!! Why can't I just walk away? LOL. What is that PULL Disney has? And it is not even that we have used all our trips up this year. We are going in November! What is this NEED to constantly be booking/planning a trip? I need serious councilling.

You know how gambling venues (i.e lottery, casinos) have disclaimers posted all over the place that if you have a gambling problem get help? Disney should offer the same service. Set up a 1-800 number to call when the urges get too strong and you cannot walk away from the phone! LOL

I will not make a reservation for 2000 5!

You will be back and you will have the money you need. That is the best of both worlds!


I just called this morning and added two trips, leaving me 5 points until Dec 2005.

Addicted?? YES!!

Make an alternate trip next year to someplace local and focus on planning for that.

I know what you mean, we just went in april for easter, then dsis and i went for MH, now we have a big family reunion booked for christmas and im all out of points until 2006, well ok i did an add on at ssr during MH, i have 130 points 2004 & 2005 to burn now, i am sitting here figuring out points for HH 2 bedroom for easter 2005. do you think i will be able to get a 2 bedroom for easter 2005 at HH at the 7 month? lol.lol

Canada works too -- the urge to go to Disney is tempered when one looks at the taxes and departure fees one must pay to get out of a Canadian airport or the price of gas to drive there. But while shoveling snow at the end of January 2004 I just kept thinking, "Next year, I'll be at Saratoga Springs."
