:confused3me and my family just came back from disneyworld and we decided to go to captains grille at the yatch club for our last night there. that was a mistake. the service wasnt great and the food was bad. the chicken was dry and the steaks were tough and flavorless. we are on the ddp and it wasnt even worth 1 ticket. i would definately not reccomend it to anyone.

Good to know, we thought about going there next month. I have heard one good review and dozens of bad reviews.

Captain's Grille seems to be getting lots and LOTS of horrible reviews, lately.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

What a shame! We enjoyed our dinner in early Dec. & are looking forward to returning in Sept. Maybe it was just a bad night?:confused3

Aww that's a shame. sorry you had a bad dinner. :(

Thanks for posting!

We're headed to the BC in June. I was thinking about makind ADRs here. Guess I'll look somewhere else now.

Have to say we LOVED Captain's Grille in December. DD10 is still talking about the rolls with the cheese baked on top. DH had the NY strip and DD10 and I shared the prime rib and clam chowder. Everything was wonderful. Hope it hasn't gone down hill as we plan to go back in October.

We loved it! We went April 08 and had the best pork chop of my life, the salads were awesome and the cheese rolls were fantastic! Maybe it was just an off night?

I will say we ate breakfast there twice and both times the food was terrible

Visit there last august, I must admit the food was just okay but the service was bad. We wasn't the only one complaining that night. The waitress was new and everyone was getting the wrong orders and the food was COLD. I felt sorry for her.

That's a shame. Did you speak with the manager so that they could make it right?

Let me say this about food in general its all about hits and misses cause I seen some people love places and I hated them and the reverse happen so just roll the dice and try places good luck and happy dining.

We ate there last week, and my DH got a steak, and I got the chicken dish. My DH, who loves to eat at the high-end restaurants, said it was the best meal for the value that he had the whole trip. Not the best meal, but the best meal for the price. He enjoyed his steak and my chicken was very tasty. The guy at the table next to us called for the chef to tell him it was the BEST meal he ever had at Disney. He chatted with the chef for 10 minutes! I wouldn't say it was the best meal, but we enjoyed it and it was nice to eat right at our resort. The service was a little slow, but not the slowest we had the whole week. The server at Chef De France was definately the slowest.

We ate there in October and really enjoyed it. We have an ADR scheduled for our trip next week. We actually arrive at Beach Club tomorrow and have an ADR for Spoodles at 7pm, but I'm thinking about trying to show up at Captains Grill instead, a bit earlier and see if they can seat our party of seven and eat there instead. I sure hope it's not terrible.

We went there for breakfast and didn't care for it. We haven't been back since.

Thanks for the post. I've never been to the Captain's Grille and I don't think I ever will. Again Thanks.

DH and I eat lunch there occasionally. Probably the most recent 3 weeks ago.
Never had any issues, and good food and service. :confused3
I have eaten dinner there too with no issues or concerns.
I will say I don't like sitting in the center area under the dome like ceiling. Noise carries way too much there.

I will add, for lunch DH always gets the lobster roll. (Nothing else just grabs his attention on the menu.) And it's NOTHING like that puny nearly meatless lobster roll they serve at Food & Wine Fest in Epcot.
