Not getting email notifications anymore

I haven't changed a thing but have not had an email notification since around Christmas. I have posted in several threads and now have to go back in later to check if there has been any further activity on the threads.

What's up ????

Most likely your interent provider is identifying the emails as Spam and either blocking them or putting them in a spam/junk folder. Check your junk folder and see if they are there. You may need to add the dis email address to your address book-- I think that it is boards@disboards.com

There's nothing in my junk folder....I see that right beside my inbox.

I have had the same internet provider for the last 13yrs without any recent changes.

Any other ideas?????

Providers can determine they think a particular site is spam at any time. The other day AOL decided that any emails coming from my totally legitimate provider were spam and blocked everything with that address for 24 hours and I couldn't email my mom. If you haven't made any changes to your DIS settings you might contact your email provider. We have had issues in the past with this.

Hopefully someone else may post that has any other ideas because I am not an expert, just know what the usual problems are.

I've added the Dis email to my address book and still nothing.

Very frustrating.

Hi! Same problem, missing notifications. I'm curious... would your provider happen to be Rogers? (Mine is, maybe we have that in common?)

I wonder if the same is happening to me.....I'm with Rogers too....if you discover more, would you please post it here....

I got a notification for BareNecessities' message, first I've seen in a while. One interesting note in it...

"There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again."

The 'there may be other replies.....' part has always been there.

I'm not with Rogers....I've got Bell.
