Not getting a FOP fastpass? I am crazy?

For those of you who like closure, I did manage to snag a FOP FP+ at 1:45pm at 60+1 right at 7:00am. When I tried to modify it (20 seconds later) the only times were 4pm or later.

Thanks for all the advice. :D

I’m late to the party but I’d like to say now that you don’t need to rush to Pandora first thing you will essentially have the rest of the park to yourself as everyone else is heading to FOP. We didn’t find a wait until at least 90 minutes after park open and that was during a rather busy Jersey week.

I think you made the right call.

Awesome! I really think you'll be very glad you did!

When we were there last January, the opened up the Pandora area of the park about 45 minutes before the rest of the park. We had a later fastpass for FoP so we walked right on Na'vi while the crowds went to FoP. After walking around and seeing Pandora a little we then headed over to the Dinosaur area and walked right on that twice as well as other rides in the area. In my opinion, Na'vi is not very exciting...it is short and kind of boring so if you can't walk on, I'd skip it. I'd also try to get a fastpass for FoP because even at rope drop, the line still got long fast!

Thanks! We are going to try to go to Pandora first thing because I'm thinking that will be our chance to ride Na'vi with the lowest wait, and we've never want to, so it's a priority. The plan is probably to do what Sara mentions and RD Navi then head over to Dinosaur and see what else we can get done with low waits. Also going to plan it by ear the day of depending on if we end up at the very front of the rope drop pack (then maybe FOP?) or toward the very end (avoid Pandora?).

It all will hinge on if you think you'll like FoP or not. IMO, there's still plenty of time to do the rest of the park if you get there an hour early, do FoP, then NRJ then go on about the rest. Just FYI, it appears it is harder to get NRJ as a same day FP than it is to get FoP, so regardless of what you do, if you want to do NRJ do it in the morning at rope drop (again, I would suggest right after FoP). And, if you do get there an hour early, and you go in to line up for FoP, the line will look long; don't panic. They line people up and the line goes through the much shorter FP queue, not the standby line. I've seen people look at the line and give up thinking it was going to be an hour or more, and it's just 10 or 15 min. When you first get in line at rope drop you won't be able to see the ride entrance, and I think that freaks people out. Once they get the ride up and running, the line moves fast.

So we have FP+ for FOP for I think 10:30 - 11:30 am on Tuesday Feb 5. It's a non EMH day. Crowd level 4/10. We are planning to get there an hour prior to park open to ropedrop the Pandora rides. If I want to ride FOP twice (including the FP+ we already have) then should we ropedrop NRJ first or FOP? I've never ridden either, but I am betting anything that I'll love FOP way more than NRJ. I just would like to get a ride on both of them in. It seems like wait times for NRJ drop a BUNCH at the end of the night, so perhaps I should ropedrop FOP and then hit NRJ if the line isn't too long - if it is.. just wait and ride it at the end of the night before park close?

Always ropedrop FoP first if there that early (about an hour), and then head to NRJ. And, just FYI, that early in the morning, the wait time for NRJ is about half of what is posted; so if it's posted 30 min, then it's about 15. That's what we've found at least.
