Not feeling inspired...

I don't really know what my issue is, my scrapbook for dh was going okay, but I'm a little stuck I guess. I have 3 events in a row that I don't have any pictures for, and I actually hate that I don't have any from his promotion. But anyway, they all seem so boring so in trying to liven it up I've run dry. I do have paperwork, like for his Korea page I have his orders and I have a little color handbook for Korea that I could scan pages from if I need to.

So what does a veteran scrapper do for inspiration?! I've been checking out two peas to see if I could get some ideas, are there any other sites you like to use for ideas?

There are a ton of scrapbook magazines and books you can peruse at the bookstore or library. That might help give you some ideas.

Skip.....it's like taking a test. Do the questions you know the answers to first. Then do the iffy ones. Save the I don't have a clues to the end.

Try looking for some generic photos- One of the country of Korea or something for that page. Find a picture of the rank to use on the promotion page. It is hard to scrap events that took place before the photos but their are a few generic photos that can add to a page.

Did you have your children yet at the point where you're missing photos of DH? If so, how about putting one or two of those in with something about how proud they were of Daddy?

Can you take any photos of his badges or anything - before and after promotion or something like that? Not being a military person I can only sort of relate it to scouts

Photos of flags? Did he bring back anything special from that time you could photograph?

I agree with Susie too. If it gets tough but you still want to keep moving, skip ahead then go back.

Thanks for all of the great ideas! Skipping is a good idea, but I don't think I can bring myself to do it since I skipped one other page (I'll be posting another thread for ideas about that soon). For his promotion page I think I'm going to use his patches or pins. I'll have to Google Korea and see what I can find. At least now you've got me thinking about it so I'm getting in the mood to work on it.

When does DH come home?

DH won't come home for another 13 months , but if I get it done by October I could give it to him on his R&R

For some reason I thought he was coming home over the summer. So you do have time to work around a few pages.

I found this map of South Korea (was he here or North Korea?). Could you make an arrow pointing to where he was stationed with a pic of him around the same time? Along with his papers?
