Not exactly the way it all began- Sept.2010 TR

:yay: what a fun update!! I didn't even realize you were still on day 1 :rotfl:
Dumbo is the quintessential Disney ride :cloud9:

I totally understand getting behind and Disney funks...I think we all do!!
I have been so behind on all of my TR subscriptions I didn't think I would ever catch up!

So nice to have you back!! :goodvibes

Tracy

Thanks, Tracy! I know, I thought I was further along too...well, at least one day 2! Woops!

At least my report isn't one you fell behind on! LOL! I'm SO behind, i feel so badly, not sure I'll ever catch up, either!!

Thanks for sticking with me!!!:goodvibes

Great update! We never did get to ride Dumbo because the line was always so long:sad2:.

I feel like I'm doing bad on my TR because because I just finished up our 3rd day. I did not realize that you were still on your 1st! You just don't realize how much time writing a TR takes until you do one.

I love the picture of Cole & Todd together and your 3D glasses pictures!

Yes! $700 each!:scared1: Can you believe that?! Crazy!!! I still don't think I could drive there....it's so far from here, but for that price, I think it would be worth it! When do you go, Michele??

First of June, we're staying 2 nights at AKL followed by 4 nights on the Dream :woohoo:

20 minute wait for Dumbo really isn't bad for right before lunch, crowd levels must have been pretty good :thumbsup2

I  Philharmagic, and no, I don't think I'll ever tire of it!

Hi Guys!

In other news, I have received my 1st PIN code ever from Disney! I am BEYOND excited! I actually talked Todd into getting a quote for late February (the boys have February vacation from school) and got a nice quote for PORS again but the airfare was UNREAL! It was $700+ each! Forget about it and then I even said, maybe we could drive, which I said I would NEVER do....but that's a no go now, too. Hmmmm :guilty: It's still out there and I'd like to see if we could somehow make it work but not sure it will happen this year for us.

:flower3:

You might want to look into the first weekend in March ... ;)

I'm taking the DD out of school for a couple days ...

And I managed to get Free Dining ... :woohoo: (... but we had to book by Dec 20 ...)

And it's the 1st weekend of the Flower and Garden Festival ... :hippie:

And the "crowd levels" are predicted to be really low (like 2 and 3 out of 10 ...) ... :cool1:

And flights out out Philly were only $275 ... :yay:

And it's not like we have never been in WDW at the same time ... :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

I had started my PTR a couple weeks ago ... spent an hour+ working on the first installment ... It was funny, informative, kinda strange, and even had a reference to Phineas and Ferb ... So, of course, when I hit the "submit" button ...

IT ALL DISAPPEARED!!!!

:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :badpc:

That kind of took the wind out of my PTR sails ... :confused3

But maybe I'll (re)start it again this weekend ...

... unless I'm still shoveling snow!! (Have you managed to take your outdoor Christmas decorations down yet?!? :upsidedow )

Dumbo is the shortest ride ever! You wait and wait and wait and it's over in a flash. Philharmagic is one of our favorites too. It just never gets old.

Aww, bummer you never got to ride Dumbo! It's a classic, just not long enough for the wait, if you ask me!

LOL, you are WAY ahead of me, girl! Here's to hoping I can get through Day one by the end of the weekend! It takes a lot of time to write a TR and coordinate pics and everything together but so much fun to share!

First of June, we're staying 2 nights at AKL followed by 4 nights on the Dream :woohoo:

YAY for you! Completely jealous of your upcoming trip! How fun!!

The waits were really reasonable for us, we lucked out for sure!

You might want to look into the first weekend in March ... ;)

I'm taking the DD out of school for a couple days ...

I WISH!!!!!!!!!!!! I got another pin in the mail this week! They are killing me!!
And I managed to get Free Dining ... :woohoo: (... but we had to book by Dec 20 ...)
Lucky you!!!
And it's the 1st weekend of the Flower and Garden Festival ... :hippie:

Sounds awesome, so jealous!!!

I know, right?!! LOL!!

I hope you do, would love to read all about it! That stinks though, that's happened to me a couple of times and who has the time to redo all of that?! SO sorry!! Please keep me posted if you do decide to give it another whirl!
... unless I'm still shoveling snow!! (Have you managed to take your outdoor Christmas decorations down yet?!? :upsidedow )

We did! LOL! We had a "warm" day early January and decided we better get them down, thank goodness we did, as we have FEET of snow now, we'd never get to them! We just got another 6 or so inches this morning! BRR!!
Dumbo is the shortest ride ever! You wait and wait and wait and it's over in a flash. Philharmagic is one of our favorites too. It just never gets old.

It really is!! LOVE Philharmagic!!! Wish I was there now!!!:lovestruc

I COMPLETELY understand being in a Disney funk. I am just emerging from one, myself! I stayed away from the boards all through November and December and just started updating my PTR again a few days ago. Now that I'm at least in the same year as my trip, I feel like I have something to look forward to and something to plan for, so I'm back! (Plus, I missed everybody!:goodvibes) Now, if I can just get back all the readers I lost I'll be good.

Dumbo is the shortest ride ever. For some reason, the spinning on it doesn't bother me, but the carousel makes me a little dizzy. :sick:I still do it, though. I'm a trooper...or crazy.

I hope thinking about this trip helps take you out of your Disney funk!

And yes, Dumbo IS the shortest ride ever. :headache: The line takes foreverrrrrrrrrrr and then it's over in about 30 seconds. However, it is Dumbo. It is Disney! The 2 Dumbos when the new Fantasyland is done will be soooooo nice. With an interactive queue so the kids don't get bored. Love it.

Such cute pictures of all the kids on the Carousel! Love the one of you and Tracey too with the glasses. Is that Cole peeking in between you?

Ah... I'm back! I've been really bad about my disboard stuff as well and FINALLY started my TR from our trip in Dec! We had a GREAT time with our best friends! It was soooo weird to see all the construction in Fantasyland... I didn't get many pictures of it though.

All caught up:goodvibes We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary in Disney too. I got diamond earrings:lovestruc Your ring is gorgeous!

It still kills me how much your hubby looks like Bill from The Apprentice:)

It's very easy to get depressed in this world......I hope you are feeling better soon! Hope you can swing a trip to THAT World where depression is far far away.

We are trying to go in May but have to see where we are after taxes....we really shouldn't do a trip but Gabriel is turning 10 and they grow up soooo fast.:sad1:

I can totally empathize with the Disney funk. I have finally started to get over mine I think, but only because I am starting to look forward to my September trip, and am making myself finish my Dec TR before I start my September PTR. I bet you are getting excited about your trip too!

KRISTEN!!!! It is so good to see you back! I'm in a Disney Funk, too! Hopefully getting back to our TR will help!!!

I was at MK the same day as you. . .We probably crossed paths often! I remember texting you while Nikki and I were eating in Fantasyland. You were in Tomorrowland or something. *sniff* we never met up! :sad1:

Can't wait to read more! I'm going to go back to mine today!!!!

YAY! Reading your update makes me think of how hot it was when we were there...VERY helpful on this FREEZING morning!

Love the update...hopefully it will help you out of your Disney funk!

Isn't it so weird how that happens? I really do miss it SO much! I'm starting to drive Todd crazy, I think! LOL!!:lmao: Oh! I'll have to go and check out yur PTR so I can live vicariously through you! I don't think we'll get back until 2012. :headache: I'm with you, I missed everyone here, too, so needed to get back on here!

I'm with you with Dumbo vs. the carousel...as long as I didn't look out of the carousel, I was fine but was happy to get off, too!

I hope thinking about this trip helps take you out of your Disney funk!

Thanks Brook, it will for sure! As long as I can find the time to get on here, where does time go, anymore?!

So very true, you need to do Dumbo for sure when you are there, just because! And I'm with you, can't wait to see the new Fantasyland, it look so cool!!!Such cute pictures of all the kids on the Carousel! Love the one of you and Tracey too with the glasses. All caught up:goodvibes We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary in Disney too. I got diamond earrings:lovestruc Your ring is gorgeous!

Welcome back!! :goodvibes Yay for your diamond earrings!! And congrats on your 10 year!!
It still kills me how much your hubby looks like Bill from The Apprentice:)

I know, everyone says that, so funny, huh?
It's very easy to get depressed in this world......I hope you are feeling better soon! Hope you can swing a trip to THAT World where depression is far far away.

Aww thanks, just missing it so much and not having a trip in the near future makes me sad!:guilty: Nothing better than Disney with your favorite people in the world!!:cloud9:
We are trying to go in May but have to see where we are after taxes....we really shouldn't do a trip but Gabriel is turning 10 and they grow up soooo fast.:sad1:

Oh, I hope you get to go in May!! Fingers crossed for you!! I hear you...I can't believe how fast my boys are growing up! I just said to Todd toinght that I can't believe that Cole will be 4 in June! My baby, 4?! How did that happen already!? :(

Oh yay for another trip for you!!! Are you doing a PTR? Would love to follow, if so! And live vicariously through you!! :)

Hey Kristin!!
Thank you!! :) Love that DIS is a nice fix for Disney Depression! Just need to find the time to do it now!

I know, I remember! It was such a shame that we never got to meet, so close!!!!:guilty:

Can't wait to read yours!

YAY! Reading your update makes me think of how hot it was when we were there...VERY helpful on this FREEZING morning!

Love the update...hopefully it will help you out of your Disney funk!

SO true Tiffany, I think that's why I jumped back on here, it's been FREEZING here these last few days and MORE snow....gulp!

Hoping to get to another update tonight, stay tuned!! :)

Glad you updated! Thanks for the pics from Dumbo.. beyond the wall. :thumbsup2

Aww, thanks! Thanks for reading! And for being patient with me!!:goodvibes

We left the carousel and headed towards Peter Pans flight....on the way this is what we saw:

As you all know, I'm a BIG IASW fan, for my new readers, this is my families tradition, to always start our trip with IASW as my Mom did with us when we were kids, it was SO sad to me that it was closed on this trip, but looking forward to seeing it again next time around!

Here is Ethan and I in line, don't mind how sweaty I am, I still like this pic of us!

We all squeezed into 4 boats and away we go! We all loved the ride, Cole was quite animated and excited on it! SO cute! Such a classic, it never gets old!

All those walls up in Fantasyland really detract from the magic don't they? I know it will be fabulous when they get it all done, but I feel sorry for those people taking their 'once in a lifetime' trips right now.

Oh, how I love Peter Pan's Flight, wish I was riding right now!
