not exactly budget, flight related!

I asked on other forums, but I'll try here too! Anyone flying April 2012? If so, are most people waiting for SW to release their schedule? I am waiting right now, but keep watching Jetblue. We are family of 4, and fly out of BDL hartford. Originally we are looking at the dates of April 13-22nd. The flights for those days are very very high. Higher than the flights we booked last April when we flew the week preceding Easter So I was just playing with the dates and if we flew out on the Wed. April 11th late afternoon and returned on the 20th the flights would be $1,360.00 is that still nuts? Should I hold out for SW?? Delta is out of the question Any words of FLIGHT wisdom??

Well Easter is April 8 in 2012 so expect higher airfare for the time you want to vacation.

What I can't understand is how we flew last year the week right up to Easter..actually flew home on good Friday and the flight was high we expected that! This year we are hoping to go April 13-22nd so a bit away from Easter...and the flights are double what we paid last year!? Does this make sense? The prices leaving on the 11th which is actually closer to easter is less??? I am cracking up!
