As you all know, this has been a traumatic couple of months for me. My dad was quite ill with cancer and in a nursing home 200 miles away. He passed away on 1/2/06 and when we returned from the funeral, I found my 18 yr old cat had died. Not that I equal her to my dad, but nonetheless it was just another downer.
So when I took her to be cremated at the vet's, I turned right when I should have turned left at the counter. There was a large picture of a Siamese cat on the adoption board. sheesh, I do not need more complications right now. I HAD to ask though. HAD TO. Couldn't stop myself. Anyway, Boots has a new home and I will be picking him up this week. Was given up by a couple going into an assisted living home. He had been in the shelter since late Oct. About 5yrs old. I hope it will work out. I knew I would get another eventually, my remaining cat (8yrs) is quite lonely. But I really didn't want to start with a kitten again. And both of these are neutered males. It will be interesting to say the least.
So they will be getting some travel time in too, as I will take them with me on my trips to clean out my dad's house.
