Not doingMNSSHP. what else to do?

What else is there for a family to do on Halloween? Five years ago we were down there at the same time and my kids just put their costumes on and trick-or-treated at our relatives resort rooms. I'm hearing that the resorts do something? We're staying at POR anything? What about the other parks or DTD? Never thought to check last time we were there. What have you all done on Halloween at WDW if not MNSSHP?

When we've down during Halloween week we never do MNSSHP on Oct31st either. We like to go to DTD Market Place and the kids trick or treat there.The Boardwalk has had some activities going on in the past such as pumpkin carving and character appearances.I don't know about the resort having special things or not.The other theme parks don't have anything special either that I know of.Oh I just remembered there is a Haunted Hayride at Ft Wilderness.

We were staying at POR two Halloweens ago - my daughters were given candy and trinkets by castmembers during the day. We went to MNSSHP that night, so I don't know what other activities were available at the resort. My kids still love to talk about how they got treats from CMs that day!
