Swine flu thread clicker... quilty![]()
I'm here. I was around all weekend, but was playing in other places.
We will probably have to wrap you in bacon and douse you with rum now.
I'm home sick today, something I never do (I usually go to work sick). I thought I'd give my staff a break and stay home so that I don't make any of them sick for the holiday. See, I'm a nice boss.
I'm wondering if my DD has had a light case of H1N1. Since last Tuesday, she's had a bad headache. She says it gets better when she takes something, but it never really goes away during the day. In the morning, she says it isn't so bad, but gets worse during the day. She's had a slight sore throat and has had muscle aches. She said she felt a little nauseous a couple of days at the beginning. She doesn't have any head congestion, but says her chest feels a little tight. She does have a cough, though nothing extreme. She doesn't think she's had a fever, but hasn't taken her temperature.
She's away at college, so there hasn't really been any way for me to personally check on her. She is coming home for Thanksgiving tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on when she can get away. I'm thinking she either has a sinus infection or a light case of the flu. In a way, I'm hoping she's had the flu so that we can stop worrying about it.
I do have a question. If it turns out that it is the flu, would she still be contagious at this point if it started a week ago? I'd really rather not get this.

(Breaking from the non-piggy flu rule for a minute -- Peg, she might still be, but I'm not sure. I hope she feels better and it is NOT the flu that shall not be named.)
