What about the split stay people?

I did a split stay in August. No way was I about to purchase a different set of mugs just because I changed resorts. I used the same mugs for both places. From what i understand, once you buy the mugs its good for the duration of your stay (meaning, no matter if you stay at one resort or 6!!!).

We have a split stay this year, so I was wondering what to do -- since they say "good in resort where purchased"

But it's not our choice to have a split stay -- ours wasn't available for the entire trip, and it seems ridiculous to have to buy 2 sets of mugs, especially where the first stay is only 2 nights.

Actually, they are good at the resort that they were purchased for the duration of the stay at that resort. It should be right on the side of the mug.

I don't understand why people cannot seem to grasp that THIS IS THE EXACT RULE.:confused3 There is no way to interpret anything other than using the mug at the resort you purchased it at for the length of time you are staying at that resort and THAT resort only. Doing a split stay does not give you permission to break--not bend, but full on break the rules. If you don't like the rules then don't pay for the mug.:confused3

And that is why Disney is spending money to change the soda machines and to put RFID tags in the mugs so you can't break their rules.

I'm not much of a rule follower for rules that don't make sense to me. I give Disney $$$$$$$$$$$$$ (lots and lots) and I have seen mugs used from years and years back. I've seen paper cups used, just about everything you can imagine. I will pay to stay in your resorts, I will pay to get into your parks, I will even pay your high prices for souveniers but I refuse to break down and buy new mugs. I simply take the mugs I've had from previous trips and fill them. When someone gives me a hard time, I will accept, not argue, and buy a new mug. But that's just me........

I think we ALL give Disney $$$$$$, yet I do not feel entitled to break the rules.:confused3 But that's just me.........
