Not another code thread. But AP holders are going to flame me.

Well, I'm a "real" AP holder and that's exactly what I did when I got my first AP. No flames from me.

You can get an AP at most local Disney Stores. Or you can buy vouchers at the airport I think. If not a month should be enough time anyway.

You do not need to have it activated to check in if you are checking in late. Just show them the voucher and have it activated in the morning when you go to the park.

Great, I was hoping they would cut me some slack since I'll be arriving so late.

I will have to call my disney store and see if they have them, i had heard they didn't have them anymore.

thanks

If you drive through Ocala, you can stop at the Official Disney Information Center and buy an activated AP.

that would be good too, but i kinda want to get the dde card b/f my trip so i guess i'll need to order my ap now.

Thanks

PolyAddict,

Just went through this all myself:

You DO need to have an AP voucher to order the DDE card. They now require the number from the back of the voucher. I ordered my AP voucher online from www.disneyworld.com. It took 1-1.5 weeks to arrive in the mail with standard shipping ($3).

Once I received my vouchers, I called to order the DDE card. It is taking 4-6 weeks for DDE cards to arrive in the mail, but they will email you a letter that can be used in lieu of the card for your trip. Other posters have recommended taking extra copies of your letter in case one gets misplaced.

You can also get your activated AP at Guest Relations in Downtown Disney, which is what I'm planning since we're staying at POFQ.

I hope this helps!

EthansMom (and Molly's too)

great advice. this is what i need to do thanks for the time frame info. have a great trip!

I was traveling with a NJ Disney Store cm last weekend and she mentioned that they are no longer selling AP's, just the Florida stores are.

I was told by a Disney Store CM that since they were bought by Children's Place, they will no longer sell the AP's. I bought mine from WDW over the phone in January and got it about 6 days later. Was transferred to DDE office after buying it and they told me I had to have the voucher in hand in order to buy DDE because they needed the numbers off the back (confirmation # from buying AP wasn't good enough). Ordered the DDE when I got the AP voucher and got my e-mail from DDE office 3 days later, but am still waiting for the cards to come in the mail. Our trip isn't until May, so I won't panic until mid-April (when the e-mail version runs out). When I bought it, they told me I would receive it in 6 to 8 weeks.
Also, when I asked about activating the AP when I arrive, I was told that I can only do it at the theme park ticket offices and at Guest Services in DTD...that the Disney store at the Airport would no longer do this.
HTH :)

If you want an AP rate for before April 17 - they are pretty much sold out, I think.
